Concert review from a Beatles fan..

OK I JUST GOT BACK FROM THE QUEEN CONCERT AND HOLY FUCKUERSGJURTSH

FUCKKKK IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD FUCKKK

Tbh I was never a fan of Adam Labert like yeah I acknowledged his voice was spectacular so obvi he could hit those high notes Freddie’s famous for but I never rlly digged his music idek.

buT let me tELL yoU I am BLOWN aWAY bY THAT MAN HOLY FUCKING SHIT

He has such a fucking character he made me laugh and he made me giggle and smirk he was almoST PERFECT HE WAS SO CLOSE TO PERFECT (Perfect is Freddie and of course no one can replace him). But honestly man aDAM was on fiRE he was so cheeky and outgoing and his wardrobe was hella fuckign fine I cam out of that stadium with a different perspective on that man I fuking love him okay YEPPP

And of course, Brian and Roger. aYYYYYY.

Roger is actually the cutest shit ever every time he appeared on the big screen hed have the cutEST smile on while jamming and eveRY timE I’d nudge my brother and squeal “ISNT HE SO CUTE ISNT ROGER THE CUTEST OH MY GOD.” And his sON RUFUS WAS THERE JAMMING TOO I DIDNT EXPECT THAT WHEN I SAW HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME I WAS SO IN AWE HE LOOKS IDENTICAL TO HIS DAD WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE AND THEY EVEN HAD A DRUMMING DUEL IT WAS SO CUTE FUCKCUGJC THE TAYLORS ARE JUST TOO CUTE OKAYYYYY

and Brian oh my god brian was so fucking grooVY his solos were on poiNT his lil breaks where he talked to the crowd made me all warm and fuzzy inside and his haIR NEVER CHANGES ITS PERFECTTTTTTTTTT

And when they had video clips on the screen every time they put Deaky on I’d just scream “DEEEEEEEAKYYYYYYYYYYY I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUU” aYYY my heARTTTT

My favourite parts where when they sang Killer Queen, they put one of those sofa chair things that you like lie down on idek what theyre called on this part that stuck out of the stage and fucking adAM LAMBERT WALKS THERE AND LAYS DOWN IN THE FABBEST FUCKING POSE AND STARTS SINGING LIEK A CHEEKY BASTARD HE EVEN FANNED HIMSELF AND SHIT IT WAS BRILLIANT I COULDNT STOP SCREAMING/LAUGHING

But my favourite favourite part was when its only Brian on stage, he comes out to the sticking out part with a stool and acoustic, sits down, chats, and tells us he wants to sing with us, “see if we can make a little magic.” and he starts playing Love of my Life and it was luvely yknow we’re all singing.

But at one point, the screen changes, and right before my eyes Freddie Mercury is there, Freddie fuckign Mercury is on stage singing to me and to us and to the world, "Bring it back, bring it back. Don’t take it away from me, because you don’t know what it means to me…" and even before that, even before he said the first word, I just started bawling. Like actually fuckign bawling so fucking hard I kept wiping my face over and over. I wanted to record that moment bc whenever there was a really good moment in the concert I’d record it…. but I just couldnt. I dont know if it was bc didnt want to miss a single second of him or if I was too awestruck to react in any way but with tears or both idek. I just stared and cried and cried I couldnt even sing anymore I tried at one point and I couldnt do it. It made me so upset yet so happy at once somehow. It’s as if Freddie was actually here or there or whatever. Its as if he was still alive they were making it seem like he was still alive and I cant tell if that was cruel or gratifying yet when it’s all said and done I’m so so glad they did that.

And that was the show y’know

The only concert that’s ever topped this for me is Paul’s performances.

But the fact Queen was a close second

OTT but I know there are many many of us who would give significant amounts of what little cash we have left over after buying Queen tickets to hear Adam just once sing "Sweet Child O Mine"...

So of course that Frank dude on The Voice Oz gets to sing it last night (damn you Joel Madden for one by one crucifying every single classic rock favorite at the altar of The Voice). What the actual fuck. He was ok, certainly did a better job of it than he did of WATC, but was still a decent karaoke version rather than any kind of ownership of the song.
