Around 8-10 million which would include his merchandise $$! ETA: No, I don't know. Just an educated guess on what he is worth

NoAngel @noangelpf 7m So many layers of lol and um. RT @lili_Lightly: This conversation made me laugh. Also, face palm. RE twitter.com/AuroraLee/status/489041477142843392 … Aurora Lee @auroralee Only bad thing about last night's concert: when Freddie came on, person next to me asked her friend who it was. Colin @crobaricus 3h @auroralee Wow, has Adam Lambert really made that much of a mark on Queen? Aurora Lee @auroralee 20m @crobaricus Well, I don't know if it's that (though they do seem to really like him and he's great with them) or... Aurora Lee @auroralee 20m @crobaricus ...just girls seeing 'Adam Lambert' on a poster and not caring what the concert was actually about. lol
There is a whole generation, or two, that has never seen Freddie live or in videos or TV/video specials! They only know the music (Probably 4-6 songs only!) And THAT, is one of the reasons for this tour! Getting the music out there for new generations! Two generations is a long time. I attended the QAL Detroit concert with two people in their mid-20's. They both know Adam (never saw him live), they both know lots of classic music including the big Queen hits, but when "Under Pressure" started, the young woman said, "I didn't know this was a Queen song." Later we realized she did not actually know UP, but knew "Ice Ice Baby". It was a long time ago since Queen played North America with Freddie -- 32 years. Wayne's World gave BoRhap a new life but Freddie is not in that movie, just the song. "No one" under 45 years old in the US actually saw Freddie perform. And I my bet is no one under 50 would recognize Freddie if he passed them on the street.

There are some on this board who have knowledge of the workings of the music industry. Appreciate your sharing your thoughts with us. Can I presume and possibly enter entitled fandom and ask how much you would think Adam would make on this tour. Totally prurient interest, just being nosy. Did I imagine Q3 estimating $10M a while back? Maybe she wasn't serious and I can't find the post. I just remember being happy to hear it. Anyone else remember this? Apologies to Q3 if I'm mistaken! That's my guess - over $10 million. It is certainly a big, big number. My guess is based on the estimated concert grosses, venues that are Gross + (my guess Hard Rock, Mohegan Sun, AC, those hockey arenas, etc.) the estimated VIP Fanpack sales, estimated concessions and merch sales, and my belief that this tour is going to end in the UK. Plus, he has really good management. And he is worth every penny they pay him. The difference between Q+PR and Q+AL is AL and a massively more successful tour -- higher ticket prices, loads of VIP tickets, etc. And the really expensive seats are filled with Adam fans.

I know the "official" number of years for a generation is 20, but I consider a generation more like 10 years. For instance, my brothers are 11 & 12 years older than me. Our lifestyles and things we had growing up could not be more different! So, since Freddie died in 91, that would be at least 2 generations (decades) that have never seen him live or possibly even seen him perform via video. Do they know the music? Yup, but like I said, probably about 8 songs at most.

I am staying with French Canadian friends. They say that there is a very good review in widely circulated paper (not lapresse) in French. The headline says something about honest. Do we have that review?

Yup, but like I said, probably about 8 songs at most. You must live in West Virginia!! But seriously, Freddie last performed in North America in 1982. Queen was essentially off US and Canadian radio after 1982, UP was played a bit but was not a hit here. They went from #1 album in 1980 to #22 with Hot Space (1982). From a mass awareness standpoint, Queen was not present in the US after 1982. 32 years ago. So someone has to be over 50 to really remember Queen when they were filling arenas, on the radio and producing hit rock albums. And that is two generations.
