I have been able to be here very rarely since I got home from LA and LV - came home to some sadness.... i have posted once, in search of a lovely new friend I made in Vegas - a great Adam fan from the UK! I have never known a fan that geographically close to me and had been so thrilled at the thought. Then I lost her details and have been so sad to think she might not find her way here. This morning I have found a PM from her. She's not too hot on posting techniques but before I have to run away again.... bristolgill love to all. XHi Sophie!! {Wave} Bristolgill is delightful and I was lucky enough to meet her to. So glad you two connected. *** I am currently on a two-show break (much needed) so I can catch up for the final run-of-5 North American shows!! Hey, Q3.....stop pretending you need a break....you'd be at every show if you could! I can't be here very much and I feel I'm missing a lot of the fun. So envious of all of you whose concert experiences are continuing but so VERY grateful to have been there in LA and Vegas. So very proud of Adam...

I am still reveling in the gloriousness of MSG. My only complaint is that I really wish Adam would keep singing during WTC I know how much he loves hearing the crowd singing, and sure he gets into it, but- I want to hear his glorious voice!
Thanks to all for the great recaps from the concert, and all the pics vids, and streams! We will miss you, butterknife!

Review:Can Adam Lambert-Led Queen Keep The Band’s Classic Legacy Alive?
Excerpt:
The lyrics to show opener “Now I’m Here,” seemed to take on new meaning, serving as a defiant response to any skepticism. He not only hits the operatic notes, which we must remember is no easy feat, but he accomplishes it with a mix of ferocity and glam elegance that do the song justice. You can almost hear a collective sigh of relief from the crowd as Lambert lets out the song’s final octave-straddling scream. This is gonna be alright.
Read more: This is an incredibly well-thought out review from VH1. Peeps need to remember that - no matter what hackneyed bs the Times may have regurgitated for that paper, New York is the headquarters of most magazines and other media channels, and the reviews coming from them (and their VERY long reach) have been great. Hell, Entertainment Weekly hasn't said anything decent about Adam in ages, and they were glowing. VH1 may not be the powerhouse it once was, but a LOT of people still pay attention to what it says. As long as these reviews keep coming, the ratio of positive to negative is overwhelmingly on the plus side.

OK, this is going to be reaaly stupid, but: can someone please direct me to the first intro and discussion of FLD racking my brain as to what this means, F for Freddie, obvious L - Lives forever? no clue what D is for. I get the gist, I think just from discussions I have seen here. but, what exactly is FLD? sorry to dredge this up. Please and thanks To most of the world #FLD = Fast Lane Daily. Bridgemah used it for the "He's no Freddie" mantra. It stands for Freddie Lambert Debate. Actually it stands for "Freddie Legal Disclaimer."

Great reviews posted today, and I'm enjoying Atoppers' insightful comments. For some reason, I was especially impressed by VH1's review, which perfectly summarizes how well Adam's handling his damned if you do/damned if you don't role as guest frontman. (The reviewer really understands how beautifully Adam is owning the situation.) To quote:
"I want a large-and-in-charge powerhouse of a frontman, delightfully arrogant and full of gravitas. But of course, there would be cries of 'How dare he!? Who does he think he is?' if Lambert attempted such shtick. It’s a tricky Catch-22 situation, and he made the very best of it by erring on the side of caution, humility, and sincerity."
Also want to comment that until now, I hadn't fully appreciated how essential Roger's drumming and vocals are to keeping the Queen sound vibrant and intact. Audiences have been showing him lots of love, but I wish they'd give him more standing O's because it feels to me like Brian is getting more applause. (Not that I don't love Dr. Bri, and not that he doesn't deserve the adulation, but Roger deserves his due too.) It's a shame John D. retired so long ago, because that makes it harder to remember what his skills on bass added to the mix (especially with the highly talented Neil as replacement). But John's impact on the band will always reflect in his songwriting.

oddly enough I think these reviews are life affirming. If someone could call Bo Rap sheer ridiculousness what do current reviews matter. (well at least the NY times!) It is the fan, the sold out arenas that count. I know in my heart of hearts that Adam is soaking up all that he can learn from Queen. What mentors they are. we will be the recipient of that knowledge for his own tours and I just can't wait. Adam, I think, has gained a huge momentum for his new music. All those people coming out of concerts sold on his voice I am sure will translate into sold on his album and his own concerts. I have reached that stage of life where each new day is greeted with wow another day and its a great feeling and looking forward to new Adam music is a blessing to me. I also deeply believe we ain't seen nothing yet. His run on Glee and on the purple couch will translate into other opportunities for him. His comedic timing is right there with George Burns. A movie? Broadway? A musical on TV? Who knows? I for one have never been able to guess his next move! Gelly retweeted 31m funkNNsoul's avatar UndieBert @funknnsoul ???? Pick Six: Queen with Adam Lambert, Aloe Blacc, "Jersey Boys,” Trampled by Turtles, Cecile McLorin Salvant, morepick six A half-dozen cool things in music, from two points of view: Queen with Adam Lambert, Chicago. Veterans Roger Taylor and Brian May were their usual solid selves, but the game changer was “American Idol” alum Lambert, 32, whose powerful voice and confident stage presence were unquestionably the best match for Queen’s powerhouse music since the 1991 death of Freddie Mercury. Lambert properly reminded fans of Mercury’s greatness, while also demonstrating that, pound-for-pound, he is arguably the most gifted performer “Idol” has ever discovered.
