Terribly behind on all the threads, so forgive me, if this has made it here already, but I did not see it today - yup, one of the very few manageable thread, Thank You! - and sorry, if I missed it in one of the much longer ones, but this is 'mandatory' watching for all guitar geeks and at least a major schooling for those of us (like me), who consider themselves guitar beginners. Major geek speak going on there, so fair warning. Interview with Brian's guitar tech and Brian about the technical aspects of this tour: Even with the "geek speak" I enjoyed it a lot.

Queen And Adam Lambert Tour 2014: ‘American Idol’ Alum’s ‘Theatrical Flair’ Earns Him Freddie Mercury’s Throne? TD Garden Leg Gets Critics’ Thumbs Up By Chill Harrison | July 24, 2014 02:15 PM EDT
Queen and Adam Lambert tour 2014 continues to amaze the audience as the TD Garden leg part of the collaboration received positive reviews, with critics calling the "American Idol" alum Freddie Mercury's worthy successor. According to Bill Brotherton of the Boston Herald, the Queen and Adam Lambert tour was a hit and the "American Idol" runner-up was the right man for the job. He wrote that Adam Lambert "is theatrical and dramatic like Mercury, all thunderbolt and lightning." "His powerful tenor and multi-octave voice amazed all night, whether he was caressing the lyrics of 'Somebody to Love,' belting out a hard-rocking 'Another One Bites the Dust' or going over the top during a sensational 'Who Wants to Live Forever' that was punctuated by lasers, a disco ball, once-frowned-upon synthesizers and yet another guitar solo by Brian May that brought down the house," the reviewer wrote for the Herald. "I was blessed to have seen Queen in concert back in the '70s at the Orpheum and the Music Hall. They were something special. Tuesday night, May, Taylor and Lambert did Freddie proud, delivering a crackerjack show that added to the legacy of one of rock music's greatest bands. Bravo!" he added about the Queen and Adam Lambbert tour 2014. Meanwhile, Sarah Rodman of the Boston Globe said many of the audience in the Queen and Adam Lambert tour 2014 have been "robbed" of the opportunity to see Freddie Mercury live but they did watch the next best thing. What they got at the TD Garden, she said, "was an intriguing, thoughtfully curated, 2-hour, 10-minute performance." "There were plenty of hits sung by Lambert, a fine singer in his own right who clearly shares a kinship to Mercury in terms of theatrical flair but who wisely avoided mimicry of the inimitable legend," she said. And Adam Lambert's best moments came when he performed songs "that played up his range and stamina."

I cannot IMAGINE how much $$ Brian pays in guitar strings for each concert!! Don't know exactly which strings he used. Probably not a bank breaker. I use one gold wound string on my violin. It has a warm but strong sound on my violin. Brian May label strings sold on eBay
