(I think this should go in a concert thread, but wasn't sure where. It is my thoughts on 3 of the concerts, Thanks) How do I sum up the last weeks of attending Adam and Queen concerts. Well, it “is not easy” and I just wish it could go “on, and on, and on.” How sad it will be when my intrepid Glambert friend, Viv, and I attend our last concert tonight at Mohegan Sun. I am sure there are others who’s live-lovely-summer of Adam and Queen will end there. I will start a month ago with Chicago when everything was a surprise, Yes EVERYTHING: The amazing set, the Q with screen, the lasers, the disco ball, the fog, the costume changes, etc. It was oh, so shocking, and astounding, and remarkable. As many of you have mentioned, I too was overwhelmed and in a stupor (but a good stupor) when it finished. What had I just seen? I was so looking forward to hearing Adam sing, and hear him live again with his voice encompassing the arena. But, walking out of the United Center all I could feel was stunned and speechless. I was in a muddle of astonishment within the fog blasts. I would have to straighten things out at my next concert. Luckily, I had another concert but weeks away. Right then I just basked in knowing that Queen was great, Adam was Adam and better then ever. And I had loved every minute of it. I don't remember this graphic at all at any of the concerts. I took this in Chicago? my mind after Chicago concert...a muddle of glitter. Back to earth with concert number 2 in Montreal, and we had second row seats! How was I going to calm my excitement? I couldn’t. I sat with my mouth open trying to watch each expression on Adam’s face, following him around the stage, down the thrust, heading off the stage to change, and not noticing much else. It was great to be up front with Veronique and her scepter and bra, with a special Queen fan uncle with his young niece, with two couples who had gone to Vegas and the husbands were just as excited as the wives to be at another concert, and with two Adam fans who we had met at a pre-gathering. We were all so excited and happy. Of course, Adam and Queen delivered. I was able to enjoy more of the singing especially the long note in “Somebody to Love”. But mostly I remember beautiful, fun Adam right in front of me. When they added the Boston concert what could I do? When would Adam ever be in my neck of the woods again? I asked my cousin to go with me and Viv. She said “YES”. I had taken her to a Glamnation show so she knew what she was getting into. I got OK tickets on the other side of the thrust this time and we could see the end quite well, but far away. Finally this one was for the music. I shut my eyes during Neil’s solo (I loved Freddie singing “Nevermore”) and Brian’s guitar solo. It was the best way for me to enjoy it. I wasn’t distracted when concert goers got up and moved around or distracted by my looking around the arena. Brian was so good and I did watch the screen some. But of course, Adam’s voice was what I love and ILHSFM. Cassie, Thanks for the explanation of how hard the songs are and I can’t wait for your analysis. I love hearing and reading and talking about Adam’s singing. At this concert I could notice glitches although it didn’t hit me until after that there was no TSMGO or that we missed having “glitter”. Freddie was a little late on the screen, but that wasn’t important. My cousin had a great time, I still have one more concert to go to and all is good.[/font]

BrianMaycom @brianmaycom · 6h .@officialrmt Birthday on Saturday (Early 'Happy Birthday') Roger talks about his global audiences at bit.ly/1rBR0iNROGER TAYLOR TALKS ABOUT HIS GLOBAL AUDIENCESVH1 CLASSIC - ROCK RADIO Saturday (7/26) is Queen drummer Roger Taylor’s 65th birthday. In his over four decades of making music and performing live, the rocker has visited many a country. You may think the crowds in the various places responded differently to the band’s music, but as Roger told us, folks all over the world loved their songs the same. ROGER TAYLOR: “The strange thing is that as I look back and remember all the different tours, when we’d be doing South America or the States or Europe or Japan or somewhere, actually, most of it, there was almost no difference between audiences. American audiences have always been great for us.” Roger and Queen are touring with singer Adam Lambert providing vocals. Get all their dates at www.QueenOnline.com. TIDBIT: Roger is responsible for four of the band’s hits: “Radio Ga Ga,” “A Kind of Magic,” “The Invisible Man” and “These are the Days of Our Lives.” TALKING POINT: What kind of differences do you note when in another country?
