Actually did know that. Wonder what makes the songs different, why revisited. Talon? There has never been an official explanation or interview regarding that question...I think that Freddie had lyrical ideas and wrote them to two different songs and figured they could be related lyrically if not musically....Musically they are not close at all... BUT both are interesting. It's funny we talk about this now. Everyone, including the band goes around calling it In The Lap Of The Gods on the setlists, etc. I remember when Chicago started, I didn't have a stream and a tweet or post said they did In The Lap Of The Gods and my mouth dropped! In my heart I KNEW it had to be revisited but for a moment I wondered if they were going to do it like QE did which was both back to back. BUT Roger's backing vocals are sweeeet! Even though Freddie's voice is slowed down for effect on the first version: Be careful with the video - the first few seconds are jarring...loud...and all Roger. In The Lap Of The Gods OMG, Talon thank you so much for this. Because of this journey, and your generous input I understand and LOVE the greatness of Queen. I want so much for Adam to do his own music too, but I hope he continues to work with Queen , in whatever form it takes, so that you will stay here with us to continue sharing with us your knowledge of all things Queen. 2nd column. Adam almost had a song on the Hunger Games soundtrack!  t.co/kmt3qT5xQ7I can't find it.  2nd column of the pink page. Says a song was on hold with Adam for Hunger Games, but then the producers decided not to use it. So, Anastasia ended up being able to record that song for her album. |

I know this vid has already been posted but I love the call and response on this! I really never liked Tie Your Mother Down but now I love it. I love the energy on stage with Adam, Rufus, and Brian. Rufus continues to make faces at Adam when he does lead drums on this song.  |

Adam would absolutely slay this song, imo. I would LOVE to hear him sing this.
