I have started to think that the crazy things you think about and wish for really do come true sometimes. How about A3 dropping in early 2015 because Queen and Adam are doing the Superbowl? Is that really, really to far out there? If any Super Bowl entertainment decision maker attended any of the QAL concerts, it should have definitely put that idea in his head. This would be the year to do it - makes perfect sense to me!

(QAL #10)
Don't stop believin'! It's a state of mind for classic rockers who tour on the basis of nostalgia. Every summer, they flock to amphitheaters, arenas, state fairs, and casinos to relive their glory days—and show that they still (sorta) got it. Some do, but for every Springsteen and McCartney, there are bad hats, bad dye jobs underneath said hats, and cash-fueled desperation. Who's aging gracefully while still refusing to retire?! Here is every classic rock act still on tour right this very minute QUEENMedian Age: 66 (not including current vocalist Adam Lambert—yes, that Adam Lambert) Since Freddie Mercury's 1991 death, Roger Taylor and Brian May have tried many creative tactics to keep the band going while paying homage to Mercury. Their just-wrapped summer tour was among their most inspired ideas: get Adam Lambert, pop's most flamboyant male star, to front Queen, recalling one-off award show performances together in recent years. ETA: What a condescending piece. Showing so much disrespect for all the classic rockers they mention. And just what the hell does this mean... "...current vocalist Adam Lambert—yes, that Adam Lambert"... "...get Adam Lambert, pop's most flamboyant male star, to front Queen, recalling one-off award show performances together in recent years."They can take this article and 'shoved it' #*^%#!!j/s all you need to know here is GQ.

Hectic day. Trying to catch up from travels. Have what seems like a bazillion things that need to get taken care of at home. Still haven't finished unpacking and have only done some fly-bys on the thread to see what people are posting. Still have video and pictures to sort through. Have posted some on photobucket and on the Toronto thread. Will try and work on Atlantic City tonight and post some things to that thread.
Going to take more than a couple of weeks to get through all of the great material from the the last two shows.

Just have to add to the comments about Eli's response. At this point, IMO, it is a moot point as to whether Adam has an incredible voice. Also indisputable, IMO, that he is a exceptionally handsome sexy beast. Those things have a genetic component that can't be denied. Yes, Adam has worked and studied and practiced to develop them, no doubt about his work ethic. But the quote above? Now that is pure Adam. Maybe an underpinning of what his parents gave or demonstrated for him. But this boy has come through obscurity, rejection, coming to terms with society and homosexuality on a very personal level, notoriety, and now pure unadulterated fame and adoration from a large fan base, and being chosen by Rock Legends to be their front man, AND slaying, absolutely killing, an arena tour with them AND being viewed as a sex object by both men and women. All things that have caused people to careen of course in spectacular and self destructive ways, not to mention causing awful entitled vibes and being surrounded and sheltered by slavering hordes of hangers on. But our Adam? Keeps the same loyal group of friends. Maintains seemingly normal relationships with his family. Remains the sunny boy his mom loved. Consistently (and we see almost all of what is available, I think) is kind and polite and self effacing and patient and humble and beloved to those who encounter him. Including the parasitic papparazzi. Honestly, for a nano second I wondered at Eli not mentioning Adam's voice, since he spoke of working with him in the studio. Now I think there could be no greater compliment or recognition in that crazy world of entertainment and stardom and artificiality than for him to laud Adam's character. I am SO proud to be a fan of this boy. He doesn't just touch my soul with his voice, my sexuality with his moves, he amazes me over and over again with (IMO) who he is, and remains, as a person. red panda I agree with everything you just said about Adam and especially the highlighted part. I am a lurker and the reason that I lurke is because I don't have the writing skills that so many of you have and you say what I am feeling in my heart, so I want to thank all of you who are so proficient in expressing your feelings in the written word. Whenever I talk about Adam to my family and friends I always stress how people who meet Adam all say the same thing about his character, I know in my heart that is the ultimate reason that I am obsessed with him. I would also like to send a big THANK YOU to all who have contributed with videos, pictures and their concert experiences here for all to enjoy.
