He has an instrument — frankly, like Carrie Underwood, who is the type of girl that can wake up in the morning and wail anything imaginable, and so can Adam Lambert. He has become sort of a pop icon and I just don’t think that he has gotten to do what he really wants to do yet. But how do you turn down a collaboration with [Queen]? I have done work with Brian May and all of them are great, and they have always been big fans,” he said. “I think that Adam is a great performer and capable of doing his own Madison Square Garden shows in time. I thought he also said something like Queen should call him because he was the only person who could do their songs justice. Does anyone else remember something like that? I also remember Michael John's not liking Adam, something to the effect that he was overrated and James Durbin was better. |

IKR! His last Adam statement was that Adam wasn't in the top tier of male Idol contestants! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha .....!! I also remember Michael John's not liking Adam, something to the effect that he was overrated and James Durbin was better. Why is it these idol fandom wars are always brought up, who cares. To be honest S8 of Idol was Five years ago. The fact that contestents like Constantine or James Durban even get a mention in an article, considering their level of obsecurity should be very grateful. I also thought James Durban was overrated, talented kid but really overstated in all of his performances, good one week horrible the next and screamed to over compensate. It is pretty disengenious for this Constantine Kid to have the audacity to talk about himself and Adam Lambert in the same breath, I mean don't flatter your self Constantine, where did you finish, what have you done since oh yeah that's right? Oh Broadway? Diddn't see you at the Tony's. It's funny because as big as Adam Lambert get's your going to get a lot of people coming out of the woodwork either riding his coattails, or wannabe, obseloute Idol Alums saying Oh I did it better none of it matters Adam Lambert is laughing all the way to the bank. |

Come on guys, the man says something very nice about Adam and everyone is all over him. Silly beyond measure. Constantine has had his moments of foot in mouth, but don't we all at one point or the other? He has been successful on Broadway, been on television and YES even worked with Dr. May on the Killer Queen tribute album where he had Bohemian Rhapsody. None of that means he is trying to ride Adam's coattails.

I love that he has no fear about being silly and in the moment. I have never gotten the impression that this kind of playing is calculated or planned - just enjoying and being spurred on by the audience reaction. |

None of that means he is trying to ride Adam's coattails.  I like Constantine and appreciate his comments and sense of humor - he has worked very hard since Idol and has earned his successes. I don't see coattails here. If I'm not mistaken, he has had at least one Tony nomination. He is following his own path and doing well, IMO. |
