OMG! $68!! I was not expecting that! You can get just the DVD (or Blue-Ray), and sooner or later they will put up just the CD as well. You don't have to buy the entire box set. At Amazon, the DVD is $14, the Blu-Ray is $20, and the MP3 download (contains both March & Nov shows) is $19. If you want an actual audio CD, then get the Delux Box Set for $68 which contains 2 CDs (March show & Nov show), 1 DVD & 1 Blu-Ray, plus other printed stuff.

When it comes to cooking, cleaning, sewing etc.....this is my motto.... I had to make a blouse in my Freshman year of High School for a required home economics course They made us, also, cook and do home budgets etc. Needless to say I did as well in that course as I did in a typing course.....terrible! My poor typing teacher would tell me as she observed the piles of crunched up typing mistake pages around my desk.."You'll never be a good secretary if you keep making a mess around your desk"! Then I'd say.."Yeah I know. I'm not going to be a secretary! LOL! My poor teachers must have been shaking their heads at me as a hopeless case! But I did learn to type enough to use the computer (thank goodness!). I can hem and sew on buttons, and I can now do more than just boil water!

I learned to sew, knit, corchet, embordier, and cook from my Mom, & some from her Mom, when I was in upper Elementary School. Sewed my first solo outfit for the 6th grade graduation trip to Six Flags. I loved those things. But my first love was always MATH!!! And there are lots of ways to use math in those other hobbies. Only have 1 egg? I could take an recipie and compute the amount of ingredients to use to resize the recipie for 1 egg, all in my head while mixing ingredients.

Math was my very very VERY worst subject in school! I always envied those who could calculate numbers quickly in their heads. I was lost in my math courses but I absolutely loved my literature and writing courses. I would keep extended journals and do lots of outside reading. I love to get lost in the world of a good book.

WOW, I never even thought of resizing a recipe - I look for a substitute for an egg or look for an egg-less variety of what I want to bake. Actually, my experience would go something like this: start adding the ingredients, discover I don't have an egg, add some chicken broth and mix it all up, pour it over kibble, and feed it to the dogs.
Math like music is a language all it's own.

I belong to the group of us that the girls had to take home ec (sewing and cooking) and the boys took shop. I started sewing doll clothes when I was in grade school and cooked for my family when I was in Jr Hi...I love to sew and now in my retirement years I sew for the High School Musical theater class..It has brought me great hours of escape and satisfaction. Add to this my love of all things Adam and life is good. Adam Lambert is such an amazing singer and awesome person. I just love being such an obsessed fan. Thanks so much for your post. It reminded me that when my son was in High School, there was this amazing group of people the were responsible for creating the costumes for the High School Musicals. In my son's case, it was for the "Lion in Winter". Kudos to you. I was always so amazed at the skill of the people who volunteered.

I loved reading too! My siblings would complain that I had my nose stuck in a book. Went through alot of batteries reading under the covers after bedtime.
