Rob is his "Assistant" and Leah is his Manager. Why would they not be there? Brian has his assistant as does Roger. I am sure these people being with them are all negotiated into their contracts for every show! They "handle" things. Adam's job is to show up and sing an amazing show, not the other stuff that needs to be done on a daily basis. Ha, not to be a pain, but like WHAT? What that takes 2 ppl WITH him with few interviews or anything outside Queen going on. Again, I'm not commenting on their presence just curious what they could possibly be "handling." They do everything but show up on stage and sing with him! He wants dinner reservations, Rob handles that! Adam's mic goes dead, Rob handles that (he id, BTW!) Adam hates his hotel room, he handles that! Everything and anything! And Leah, I imagine since they are many timezones away from Adam's management company, having your manager with you is a very good thing for any "formal" business that comes up!

It's the life of the rich and famous, my dear. Many music stars travel with a whole entourage of people. I never figured out what they all did. Two seems bare bones. I imagine they make sure Adam gets what he wants when he wants it with absolutely no problems or frustrations. They have the arduous task of making sure Adam gets where he is supposed to be on time. They act as a buffer between Adam and the world. Handle press, paparazzi, overzealous fans, hotel employees, transportation, food, drink, etc.

LOL, I just now watched the "American't Idol" video Adam linked to yesterday on his Twitter, and it's pretty darned funny (if you can ignore Linda Perry's asshattery about Idol at the end). Haha, "My name is Deacon Cockthruster"! Sara Gilbert to Led Zeppelin - "You need to sex it up, boys." Too funny. I liked Linda's obvious mocking of Minaj!

Logistics with the rest of the band's reps. Luggage. Tips. Hotel staff. Security staff. Fan management. Adam's famous "rider." Dressing room issues. Tactfully turning down (or accepting, depending) invitations for interviews, events, etc. Food. Beverages. Water. Throat coat. Dry cleaning. Passports. Customs. Transportation. Medical help, if needed. Basically, being Adam's voice so that he can focus on performing. Just the traveling portion can be a freaking nightmare, let alone having to perform at peak every arrival. I used to travel for business internationally and having someone to handle these things would have been EPIC.

Probably been said before, but that shirt makes his shoulders look a mile wide - very nice.

Rob also assists Adam back stage....he was videoed escorting Adam from the dark recesses behind the stage (from a change area I presume). He was carrying a flashlight and directing it at the floor and the stairs, to assist Adam in moving back to the stage proper. I checked on Rob before and his company has also done the cost effective set designs, lights etc.for Adam's touring. My guess is they have made a connection and Adam likes him, so hires him for this role as well. He knows his way around the technical side of things on a tour. (like the help with the microphone. Just like the drummer has drum tech, guitar player a guitar tech.etc.)

I guess if it was Adam's tour it would seem normal, but being part of the Queen team, seems there would be little, except fun in off time, that needed much managing. Usually my common sense answers these things, but this time didn't compute, but as long as they keep Adam, safe, happy, and organized, my hat's off to them.
