WOW! The first 45 seconds are out of this world! Especially 0:39-0:45! Can he just do that the whole time! I can listen to Adam doing vocal improvs for hours....seriously... Yes! It's hauntingly beautiful and over way too soon... I so wish that I could make myself invisible and just sit somewhere near Adam and listen while he is rehearsing, or humming to himself, or fooling around singing anything. |

Just a few ramblings... Richie and Dr. May were busy on twitter with the concert pictures as above pic, but also group pictures, I bet the day before the concert. They both commented on Brian being his teacher...cool! NO SIGN of Adam or Roger in any pics ...maybe Adam was working on his lyrics both days.  Hopefully Adam was able to make a connection later with Orianthi...contacts, contacts. Just thinking out loud. Orianthi is obviously a guitar player for hire, as she was or maybe still is doing tours with Alice Cooper as well as Ritchie. On the other hand...I do like the suggestion made by some Atopers, re having male back-up singers next tour, as a complement to Adam's voice. What I did not know...maybe the last to know...but interesting is that, Orianthi and Ritchie are dating.  Love Richie -- and so nice to see him with Brian. Orianthi released a solo album in 2013, does tours and is a session musician. Her latest album is mostly countrish rock and blues. Seems like she is artistically in a very different place from Adam -- or what I guess Adam is working on -- "cool funk and future pop". In any case, Adam and Orianthi know each other -- she did the guitar solo on Sleepwalker, opened for about 35 GNT concerts. Oh yes...I posted earlier re the Immerman and Orianthi connections with GNT etc. ....so was hoping that we might get a picture of Orianthi with Adam and even with Ritchie...just because. Well, actually just because, Orianthi spent so much time together with Adam, and running into each other does not happen often. Ritchie posted on his twitter re meeting Adam before....it seemed to me he might have been keen not only to see Brian, but also Adam in Osaka. They may well have made a connection at the concert site...but nothing is out there to let me know. No pics with PSY, or Orianthi....but many with Brian (Roger with PSY). Orinthi did 20 plus tour dates with Alice Cooper this year, so I would think in spite of her own musical direction she can hire out and rock or groove or play any genre, with anyone. Even with the few youtubes I looked through with Ritchie and her....yes some were bluesy, but in the middle she would shift from sultry guitar work to some hard shredding. Like Adam...a talented gal. (singer not so much) I was shocked to learn, when they had her on Idol this past year, she learned all those songs ...one for each contestant...that day....unless Ryan Seacrest was stretching the truth. She was amazing. |

Yay! I just listened to the Osaka IWNTLY and it's so much more powerful than it was in Korea. It's a dramatic, bold, shout from the rooftops how much you love someone song and IMHO was never meant to be sung introspectively. I'm loving this version!

You can really see the rain coming down in some of those vids - incredibly difficult to play at that level in those conditions. Kudos to band and team for making sure the show could go on :-) back indoors for rest of the tour thank goodness!

Kudos to band and team for making sure the show could go on :-) back indoors for rest of the tour thank goodness! tonight's show in a large baseball stadium but it is open topped...after this one all should be indoors. |
