Lisa G. @violetfeline 19m As promised I wrote up a post, LOL! @ladygaga Joins @queenwillrock + @adamlambert On Stage In Sydney « 96.5 TIC FM – cbsloc.al/1nE8DcWLady Gaga Joins Queen + Adam Lambert On Stage In SydneyAugust 27, 2014 3:01 PM Remember when Queen + Adam Lambert ROCKED US at Mohegan Sun last month? Well, their tour is still going strong after a handful of shows in Asia, and now Australia, before wrapping in New Zealand next week. And last night (er, today? This morning? Tonight? Time zones are hard… so whenever it was, LOL!), a special guest surprised the crowd in Sydney! Lady Gaga (whose stage name was inspired by Queen’s song, “Radio Gaga,”) came out, in full Gaga-esque garb, and sang “Another One Bites the Dust” alongside the legendary rockers and their leather-clad, glory note-belting, fantastic front-man! This cross-fandom fun actually began last week in Perth when the guys went to see Gaga’s show on the Australian leg of her “artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball” tour! And then this impromptu awesomeness happened, so yeah! Needless to say, Twitter and Instgram were filled with flailing Queen fans, Glamberts and Little Monsters! I saw both the Queen show and the Lady Gaga show when they came through stateside and both were truly a treat! Their tours are soon winding down, so what’s next for all of these talented artists? Queen: Previously unreleased tracks featuring original front-man Freddie Mercury, being put out by William Orbit!??! Yes, please! Freddie was incredible and he’s missed dearly! What a treat for lifelong Queen fans! Adam Lambert: He’s working on his upcoming third studio album!! No concrete information yet as to when we’ll feast our ears, so in the meantime (while we wait impatiently), we’re still rocking out to his last [Billboard #1] album, Trespassing!Lady Gaga: She’s teamed up with the renowned standards singer, Tony Bennett, for a duets album entitled Cheek to Cheek! She often has a jazzy, throwback-ish tone to her voice, so no doubt this collab will be great! [*Insert obligatory fangirl/fanboy screams here!*] –Lisa Gold, 96.5 TIC

Just glad it happened at someone else's concert and not the two I attended in the US. Seems as if she didn't know the words to the song. Gaga has played with Brian before, hence the professional relationship and we all know how gracious Queen are, not to mention Adam. It happened and it's over. Perhaps some of her fans will now tune into Queen and Adam, so some good may come out of this. Would be a shame if this overshadows the perfection we've all seen and heard from Queen and Adam, concert after concert.

jomama or nikki or anyone else who was there: what is the red patch of what looks like a bunch of empty seats right in the center first level above the floor? (extreme right on this picture)...are these seats? I can't imagine they would'n get sold...so what is that area? Looks like seats right behind the mixing booth that were probably never For sale due to blocked view. Here is another photo from the stage, by Rufus, which clearly shows it is behind the mixing booth. photos-a.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xfa1/10616861_842418885777648_866217446_n.jpg

I just wanna add re: Gaga's pitch problems (and then I'm dropping it): we don't know what it's like to come out in a huge arena show with music blasting on that stage, and all the fans screaming, and who knows how those ear-monitors were set up for her - you can't really compare it to improvising or jamming in a small club. No, she didn't do great vocally, but I'm sure she would have done better if she had more rehearsal, and she compensated with stage presence and the strutting around--the attitude made it so it wasn't horrible. If you just listen to the audio, that's one thing, but this is not a studio recording - it was just 1 performance, and should be taken in context.
Anyway, now I'm wondering why I'm defending Gaga so much, as I'm not really one of her fans--I just like a few of her songs, and I like anyone who is different and stands out. Maybe because everyone jumped on her with the horrible description so I had really low expectations, and then when I watched the video, it was actually better than I expected.

Of course Adam is leading - Gaga is their guest. They're a well-oiled machine by now, like when Adam did the count 1-2. I don't think Gaga was horrible - no, she's no Adam Lambert (hehe), but it's his stage and it would have been very surprising to me if she were able to outperform him on his turf - she can't just come into an act she didn't rehearse and take over - I don't know any performer who could do that. And it wasn't the point, either - I thought it was a fun little one-off. If they were to record a real duet, I'm sure that would be really stunning, though. I don't think Gaga was horrible either. It looked like they both had a lot of fun and that means a lot - and the audience had a surprise performance to add to their night's memories. Concerts are not just about vocal perfection - they are about a wonderful memorable experience and this was. I hope it does go viral. That can only be win-win for Gaga AND Adam.

Katy bar the door! Hang on for dear life! Batten down the hatches! Ride out the storm!
If you saw Adam coming at you with that expression, would you not also lose your pitch! Or your ability to speak!

All I'm wondering about today is how one three minute portion of the show managed to dominate the entire day's discussion. The power of Gaga?
I guess jubilation can't last forever. Yesterday's stream was so friggingly awesome that today kind of ended up feeling a little blah somehow. Combination of lesser quality stream sound, a tame crowd, and Gaga's disrupting the flow.
Onward to Melbourne!

thanks, mys*&@^#r. It still seems those seats are well above the mixing booth. BUT - I do see a large CAMERA ARM for filming, and I don't remember seeing it at other shows! (As Brian said - they WERE FILMING!) May be that camera mount was the reason.
