Its ridiclous because you cant make comparisons from now to the 70's and 80's. Different times, expecting Adam to recreate the same energy, synnergy, and "Queen" in 2014. Its an unrealistic expectation. The reason why Freddie and co have or seem to have more raw charisma, or stage presence compared today. because back then they had a mystique, and a sense of animinity. These days with social media, technology etc. Everyone knows everthing about everyone. Partic when it comes to celebs. Back in Freddies day they had a sense of mystery, not so much these days, ppl are just so much more informed These days. So Adam does have raw charisma comparitively, its just different. I agree it is ridiculous to make comparisons of Queen to Q+AL or 1976 to 2014 -- different time, different world. But it is not ridiculous to have respect for how great Freddie was. IMO it was not about mystique, or secrets -- it was about what happened on stage, and between Freddie and the audience. It was about living in the moment. Equally, it is not ridiculous to have respect for this iteration of Queen and for Adam's abilities. >> But the most ridiculous thing is people -- reviewers, fans, bloggers and pseudo music experts who are too young or just did not have the great joy of seeing Queen live in the 70's or 80's, going on about how great they were then. What are the judging that by? The Montreal concert? YouTube videos? Unless you saw Queen live from 1974-1986 (I did not see them live until 1974 so I cannot speak to the very early years), you have no comprehension of what Freddie was like live. It is not captured on any video I have ever seen. He was raw and aggressive and powerful and completely connected to the whole audience. He often pushed the audience too far. He seemed fearless. It is similar to Adam's vocals and sexuality live which I do not believe can be captured in any recorded form. Both have to be experienced live.

Music Lady Gaga Joins Queen and Adam Lambert for “Another One Bites the Dust” Live: Watch By Philip Cosores(Pic of GaGa)
Usually when two giant tours cross paths, the phrase “two ships in the night” is employed, as often those tours are both working on the rare moments they happen to be in the same major city at the same time. But on rare occasions, as happened last night (Aug. 27) in Sydney, Australia, those giant tours meet and create something special. The new incarnation of Queen, featuring Adam Lambert in lieu of deceased frontman Freddy Mercury, played the first of two nights in the Australian cities Allphones Arena, and were joined on “Another One Bites the Dust” by none other than the ARTPOP queen herself, Lady Gaga. Wearing a giant Brian May-like afro wig adorned with appropriate crowns, Lambert easily out-sings the diva, but she provides the song with some flare that the band’s re-imagining just couldn’t pull off alone. (video)Link: myq105.cbslocal.com/2014/08/28/lady-gaga-joins-queen-and-adam-lambert-for-another-one-bites-the-dust-live-watch/ Now Lady Gaga teleported forward in time!! And she had an "afro wig adorned with appropriate crowns".... I can't take any of these reports seriously because they are all manged up!
