Finally got to watch the Lap of the Gods video. He definitely sings, "I can't hear anything" 2 times. You can see the exact moment his ears started working & he moved into high gear! Reminds me of the DIVAs show when his ears didn't work at the beginning of Ray of Light. One could tell the exact moment they started working! Actually, that time, didn't he yell out something?! Love how he can handle these blips! His years of theatre have certainly paid off!

Also, for the first verse off the catwalk, even after he popped out his ear monitors, he was keeping the tune simple (2:30 - where do I belong). So when does he put his monitors back in ... good (rhetorical) question because after the smoke and strobes starting at 3:45, the man could have stripped naked on the stage and done the hoochi-koo without anyone being the wiser, at least from the position of the videographer.  |

Well if Adam not being able to hear gets him to do fab bluesy riffs then lets bribe the sound engineer I say! :-)
