Part 2 of my Melbourne recap...
Part 1 (1st show) here:

For the second show I was on my own, but seated near some friends. But as I was in an aisle seat, I was able to get up and literally dance down the aisle, making my way ever closer to the smaller stage. I could see Adam so close. He was like a magnet… I just had to get as close as possible. Ended up about 8-10 feet away I think. Pretty amazing.
Reflecting on the first night, I don’t think the sound was perfect for that concert. At times the band seemed to be a bit loud, but the second show the sound was perfect. Spectacular. Also, after trying to get to grips with the zoom and focus on my camera, I was determined for this show to focus only on Adam. Didn’t even take my camera. I wanted to totally immerse myself in the experience and “take it all in”
It worked. Ended up being the most amazing concert I have ever experienced.
Just WOW. Adam was giving everything he had. His voice (as we all know) is even more incredible live. And this was the 9th time I’d seen him live. And this was the best I had ever heard him sing. He was born to sing these songs.
It was incredible to witness the transition of grown men… die-hard Queen fans who stood (or sat) there with their arms crossed, for the first couple of songs. But by FBG they were all on their feet. Adam won them over, seemingly effortlessly. One man behind me was laughing all the way through KQ with Adam’s antics, facial expressions and banter…. Well you know! He is so damn funny!!!!!
Somebody to Love. Always a favourite. And again that voice. Insane.
Loved that Roger sang These Are the Days… I knew there was nostalgic video to go with this song, but I had never watched the video of it. So it was great to see it at the concert for the first time.
By the time he sang WWTLF I had made my way closer to the end of the catwalk, and OMFG that song. I haven’t listened to all the versions of this he’s ever sung, but this would be up there with the best ever. Subtle, gentle changes to some notes… just beyond description. Got to me. There may have been tears.
The other highlight was, of course, TSMGO! Wasn’t expecting that! SO wonderful!!!!! Even more emotional! Overwhelming. Indescribable.
Bohemian Rhapsody. I don’t know how many people were in that room, but I guarantee every single one of them was singing along. Such an amazing experience. Again, emotional overload!
Then the encore. While waiting for WWRY the crowd (knowing that was to be the next song) started with the “stomp stomp clap” rhythm. Amazing.
Looking around the arena during the last two songs, seeing everyone on their feet, stamping, clapping, arms swaying for WATC was almost too much. The emotions were so intense. I felt SO proud and happy for everyone on that stage, but especially for Adam. He’d won them over. Again.
I felt like I’d had a religious experience. There are insufficient words to describe it. But I know those who have seen the show will understand. It was the most wonderful, incredible, spectacular and phenomenal show I have ever been to. It was a privilege and honour to be there. Now I have two more shows to enjoy. I can’t wait!
