Has Cassie weighed in on the WWTLF new high note? Cassie makes understanding music fun and interesting. Awwww, thanks, counselor.
Another stellar rendition. I know that many consider the iHeart version the gold standard, but I prefer how he has been singing it more recently (even tho I miss the D5 glory note he has eliminated at the end). Listening to the version tonight, these are some of the nuances I love...........
Cassie, I love reading these detailed vocal reviews as much as concert reviews. They give another beautiful perspective on what is taking place - some of 'why' to describe the emotional impact that we feel when listening to the songs. Another way of flailing For me, the added contrast of more delicacy and 'trills' to song has been incredible, as you say. And it seems to have affected the audience reaction. To be taken from that initial emotional place to the glory and power of his voice when he crescendoes the, 'Who dares to love for eveeeeeeeer, when love must die' seems enhanced by these additions. In many or most of the videos I have seen from the past, the audience cheers and screams here. Lately, and what I witnessed at my concerts was almost silence at this point in the song. Active silence. A collective audience stun. When you are so affected that you simply cannot move or speak.

I agree with you that the changes Adam has made, making the beginning of the song more delicate and vulnerable, allows it to have the room to grow and expand and grab at your heart and throat. The power of "when love must die" after the gentle beginning, does stun, doesn't it?

www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10204666852451800&set=vb.1250376000&type=2&theaterThis was posted earlier today on Facebook, but in the last 2 hours, he added some more, which I will copy below: Steve Scott Lots of incredible (INCREDIBLE) noises coming from Queen tonight in Auckland. Just incredible noise from just 6 guys. I think tonight I have seen probably (technically) the best vocalist I've ever seen Adam Lambert - and I have seen James Brown, Robert Plant and Mr Mercury himself! If you can make it to their tour finale tomorrow, do it! Enjoyed it immensely with Gracie Scott Eadi Scott and Rosie Ryan. — at Vector Arena. New part: Steve Scott Yes Tim Bond I was a bit worried it might feel like seeing a tribute band - but Adam was so superb it was amazing. Certainly as good as 1985 or whenever it was I saw them. And in case you missed it, he also said this: For those keen, Queen concert videos will be posted on my gig channel here over the next couple of days. Lots of other cool bands here too www.youtube.com/user/muzeekoh/videos
