How many of us have had interactions with cray fans. Tell your stories! I'll start
In Vegas for some reason I tended to attract the weird. The first night I wore my ott rhinestone shirt and that night when i was returning to my room dead tired but sober, but obviously an Adam fan, i met in the crowded elevator a very drunk and quite obnoxious woman. My face must have been judgmental even if I was trying very hard to not show it because she turned on me. I apologized and said I was just finding what she said interesting. I then became her best friend and she introduced me to her son, who was graduating from college and this was a trip to treat him. She went on to complain about her inability to interact with Adam in any intimate way (her language was more explicit) but assured me that her son was straight and she would rent him out for 5K. Which would obviously make my day. Luckily the elevator opens on my floor but I simply could not resist having the last word. Holding the door with my hand and lowering my voice I advised her son that perhaps I would make HIS day. The door closed with laughter you could hear from one floor up.
Which begs the question who was the most cray fan?

Wasn't there a story just like this about the fan in the car for either the Idol tour or GNT? I remember the comment that the intruder "sat still and just looked straight ahead". If he was traveling with Brian and Roger, why did he have his own car. I'm sure it could happen twice, but urban legends are everywhere. I've seen them in the newspapers before. It wouldn't be the first time. No big deal either way, but it was weird to have the exact same description of the fan's behavior. Anyone else remember that? I do, I remember Adam talking about it an interview . I thought about it as soon as I read the story . Seems to me like an interviewer ask him about encounters with fans and he told the story . But maybe I'm wrong, I fill my head with so much Adam, things could easily get jumbled up .

A Queen tour with tribute to Mercury ,leads to folks making a comparison between Freddie and Adam, although Adam is no Freddie is very annoying.. However IMHO The very fact that this is said over and over again makes me think that Adam is soooooo good that people feel a genuine need to say it like a mantra.. like thanking god before they take an award home.. Please let's not forget our loyalty to Freddie ,It's Queen after all. Many of us feel that nobody can touch a song that Adam has sung, right? Trying to make myself get over the Freddie comparison... With it all,Adam is getting incredible reviews all over the world ,he has convinced the unconvencible that he is a vocal force worthy of going up against a legend. He is one brave soul , his courage and talent have earned him the Crown. I've always liked Queen and always liked Adam. What the folks making the comparison never say is that Queen at times wasn't as popular with the critics. Queen always had a love/hate relationship with the press at home and elsewhere. Live Aid is what injected fresh energy into Queen and is still regarded as one of the most famous frontman/band performances in history. Up to that point, Queen considered themselves as defunct to a large degree. Freddie himself didn't reach Rock God status until after his untimely tragic death. Its easy to ignore the purists, because Adam is Adam and its his energy and talent which has fueled this tour. Perhaps it's difficult for purists to accept that Adam is this good and that Queen themselves are better than ever. I sacrificed to see the two shows I saw and it was well worth it, on every level. Adam has delivered and deserves every accolade and reward he garners from taking on a impossible gig and delivering each and every nite, note by note.

rosepetal - you're right. It was an interview from Fla. The link is up-thread. Shoshana is responding on Twitter. She got kind of defensive about the old story but says this is true. Just funny to have the same exact description of the fan's behavior. Now Brian May has re-tweeted the story, maybe as a way of verifying. Not important, but just a "deja vu" kind of thing. #frozenfangate

I have to agree! I really don't want to make myself paranoid over Adam's life. But it's always this, "what if" .....
It's really kind of scary this over invested crazy fan/stalker.. see how Adam's reaction.. "hilarious".. in the bracket. When Adam's name is bigger than now, his security's going to be tighter and fans going to complain that he's unreachable.. and I don't blame him to do that.

Praise and accolades for Adam for sure My DH and I were discussing this and we both feel that this tour has accomplished the impossible - Adam is seen as a potent and charismatic front man but very likable, charming and gracious. That is extremely important. He has not stepped into Freddie's shoes with ego and narcissism. He was oh so brilliant to give the props to Freddie as his inspiration and talk about how much he loved him and how honored he is to sing with rock royalty. The crowd roars approval when he does that and f*** the critics who think he is too obsequious by doing that. It worked. It was pure genius. They rallied to him and the chemistry changes in the crowd from good to amazing. If there is a next time around, we think the mantra will be different. Adam will be established as the new look of Queen and it will be more celebrated and comfortable.

For several years now we've said Adam is the greatest singer - how can he get any better - but he does. My question: Is the same thing happening with Brian? Either I'm becoming more appreciative, or his riffs/improvisations are getting better as well. I listened to the Perth Dragon Attack, and for someone who supposedly doesn't care for that song, he killed it. I'm sure lots of folks (if they knew) would think us a bit to want to hear every song from every concert, but there are gems along the way that happen just once. And I appreciate people here mentioning them. And the fact there is a list somewhere of the things that just happen once! (Have I said lately that I LOVE this place?)

And Brian.. Roger, Spike, Neil.. and Rufus.. and all the crew. . As we all have to admit it that Adam is even better now because he plays with these two legends and world class musicians. Just to show to have great musicians to back him up is very important to Adam's live performance.
