I would rather have a happy, inspired Adam AND a different set of musicians. Suggestions? EHarmony.com? What's that Rolling Stones song from The Big Chill? Oh, right - We Can't Always Get What We Want.

Now that we have got past the "American Idol runner up" and "openly gay", and "he's no Freddie"; let us hope we are not going to hear "ex Queen frontman"!!!! Roll on A3. Perhaps I am missing the point -- but Adam is an "American Idol runner up", "openly gay", and he is certainly "not Freddie". He doesn't even try to be Freddie. He is Adam. Nothing wrong with any of that. We have also gotten Vocal Superstar, Vocal Powerhouse, Charismatic, Campy, etc. Grammy Nominated, Idol Winner , #1 album -- and numerous reviews that have said by the third song people were not missing Freddie. Think about this, "by the third song people were not missing Freddie." It is in over a dozen reviews. I witnessed it more than a dozen times. Queen fans have been mourning the loss for Freddie for over 20 years. Most never got a chance to see him live. There were two Freddie tributes in that concert. And still the concert was fun and joyful and respectful. Most of that had to do with Adam's performance and vocal ability -- and the comradery that they have on full display on stage. Finally, you bet we are going to continue to hear Adam Lambert, Queen frontman from his PR team, over and over. This was probably the hardest rock singing assignment in the world and Adam pulled it off. This is a huge achievement for Adam to pull this off. I do not know how long this will last but I cannot imagine anyone else wanted to set into both Freddie's and Adam's shoes after this tour. And I am sure that Brian and Roger would strongly prefer to perform with Adam vs. other singers. This is just too good.

I do not recall Adam ever having to "dumb down" his vocals to sing with any band!!! For Adam to be surrounded by musicians who force him to up his game would require Adam to become part of a band whose members have alot of experience in writing and playing great music. Musicians with that level of expertise are not going to want to be part of a backing band for a solo artist. And frankly, unfortunately, pop music has never been about the best music either vocally or instrumentally. It is more about good catchy tunes that resonate with people and image. Kelly Clarkson has an amazing backing band. her musical director has been with her since right after Idol. That is what Adam needs more than anything else....a great musical director who can put together musicians who can really bring Adam's voice to the forefront. "dumb down" wasn't the best wording....what I meant was a band that doesn't drown him out with their mediocre playing. She does! And all but one of those in her band does back up& they sound fantastic. P!NK. Also has an amazing back up band & singers. So, Live Pop, without backing tracks, is entirely possible! Remember, a concert isn't supposed to sound like the records! where's that great Freddie quote about that? It is someone's signature line here!

That is enough for me! Seriously, I would love him to put together a great touring band, and to have his own sound systems and a great sound engineer. In the meantime -- what I really want is A3!!!

His team will definitely keep using it! i do get what ljsmacks means though! For years, it seems Adam has had the openly gay qualifier. Even Idol runner up is a qualifier. But the "quality" of Queen frontman is in a different bal park. A great ballpark!
