Oh, that was a lovely afternoon laugh.   If I go quietly with the nice men can I keep the present that Adamrocks gave me? Uh huh. Okay....Wait, what's this "cold turkey" you speak of? I'm not the least bit hungry! Don't Panic - Our cuisine is totally organic vegetarian  and I had a lovely padded cell cushioned room made special and waiting just for you.   A WHAT??? I heard that, before you corrected yourself you said padded room. Yes, Yes you did. I don't WANT to go to a......what's that on the walls? Is that....could it be? The *red shirt*?? Okay, yes, yes, you were right. I think I could be very happy here. I must, of course, have my computer, my friends live in there. Okay, okay, you were right. Living surrounded by the *red shirt* is the true bliss, my nirvana. Can I have a picture of the glambulge on the wall????? |

I believe these were cancelled because of the Iceland volcano air traffic disruption or some schedule change. And they were not concerts but I believe 2 radio promo visits with 30 or so people at them. But not a concert. There was and event that Adam did not confirm he would attend and he did not appear at. He was in NY at the time -- January 5, 2014 -- and air travel was disrupted by weather at the time. A fan tweeted he cancelled but there is nothing that says he was ever confirmed. This was the announcement. In any case, he never tweeted he was going to be there. And no one associated with the event said he would be there. No, the volcano was a completely different trip. I think the Volcano was the FYE period. The cancellation we are speaking of was during trespassing promo. It was Sweden or Norway (not Finland.) And it may have been a radio promo with a small group of people, and I still don't consider that a gig. To me a gig is a concert that people or someone is paying for. The one thing I remember getting cancelled was in Sweden and it was an appearance on some awards show. I don't remember if he was supposed to perform too but he was supposed to present an award to somebody. The entire band was sick for the radio show performance and barely made it through without somebody puking. Adam got sick after all of them did. I believe it was a 24 hour stomach bug. They were all sick on the plane over and for the small radio gig then Adam got sick and had to cancel the award show thing, but he was back doing interviews in his hotel the next day. I think one of the interviews he did was that one that was televised in Finland much much later. He was wearing a jacket that was kind of a combo color black and brown or brown and green. One of the people that interviewed him that day wrote a blog post about it and mentioned how sick he was but he was a trooper. She also mentioned that she got sick too. I think a bunch of the people who went to that small radio station gig ended up sick too. I remember jokes about the band all being Typhoid Mary's because it started with them and kept going. |

How is this going to impact the thousands of pictures that have been posted to twitter. On the MJ duets -- the are very difficult to work with and very demanding. It is not so simple as a royalty split. MJ was the #1 earning dead artist last year and they made over $160 million. And Queen is a business. And sure let them be bonus tracks. But Adam's DA, WWTLF and KQ are so different from the originals, I would not mind them being released. There is little change that Queen is going to get pop airplay for a song in 2014 -- unless they do something like Nile did with "Get Lucky" and I do not want "Electro Dancing Queen". Oh I know they are. I agree it's not simple. But it just makes sense. State of Shock was always more MJ's song and TMBMTLTT is more Freddie's song. The third more *dispusted* (and from what I hear pretty much crap anyways) duet is dropped from consideration.... Oh I don't believe Queen gets pop airplay either especially in the US. I could see a new Freddie track getting some play in the UK.... Oh and Brian let it slip during the Eddie Trunk interview confirming both Love Kills and Let Me In Oh right! I forgot, Brian did say that. I have barely focused on Queen Forever because of Q+AL and Live at the Rainbow. And wondering about A3 -- the album that we should get this century! |
