I think we are all going to remember this as the 'Golden' summer!
Onwards there's 'Live at the Rainbow' out next week and I think it will get in the way of a QAL DVD getting released in time for Christmas. Queen Forever's release seems to have been put on a back burner while the Micheal Jackson legal stuff gets sorted so that I can't see that happening any time soon. I think the European tour will happen just before the 'Queen Forever' release and Adam will once again be singing 'Love kills' to promote it.
If we can't get the QAL DVD released in time for Christmas then I hope it gets released just after A3 to keep the hype and momentum going. I don't know when Adam will fit in his own tour!
Next year will be even more sensational than this year! It's been awesome watching so many come to the realization that Adam is 'The Voice' of our times.

Re the Marc Martel interview.
In certain quarters his "Current best male singer in the world" quote has been taken with a pinch of salt because why would Marc say anything bad about the hand that feeds him? Well Marc could have said something vanilla like 'He does a great job!' but he didn't. He risked insulting every other male singer today and every other fan base to speak his mind honestly.
Likewise Nate Reuss's "The best singer I know!" introduction. He must personally know lots of singers and be acquainted with even more. Yet he put Adam's voice ahead of them all. Why say it if it wasn't heartfelt? Why risk alienating so many colleagues just to please Brian and Rogers choice?
Rant over as I'm preaching to the converted anyway.

I agree..and I take every single one of these comments as personal vindication of my "he's going to be iconic" which (like Paula) I said to everyone who would listen 5 plus years ago. I got a lot of eye rolls. So damn satisfying.

I refuse to care what a few people who enjoy hating on Adam and like to poke Glamberts have to say. That said -- I do know some people who do not like lyric tenors (or whatever you want to classify Adam as) and prefer other types of vocalists. One of my close friends who saw both Freddie and Adam live thinks they are both excellent but prefers Freddie's baritone to Adam's tenor voice. It is a matter of taste. Adam is my favorite vocalist of all time. Is he the current best singer in the world? I have no idea what that even means. Best at what? Thrash metal - no, Folk rock - no, R&B - no, Hip Hop - no, etc. At contemporary pop-rock and theatrical music and light opera - I say yes. Is Adam the best living person to front Queen -- yes, and he has proven that -- about 44 times now.

Oh jeez, adamrocks, I was just starting to get something done, now I see that I have to re-prioritize my list to allow time for fully analyzing this lovely gift. You must be rested up from your nap, you came back like gangbusters! I would not want to offend you for the world, and I really want you to know how much I appreciate this. And the best way to show you how much I appreciate it,well....is to appreciate it. So that has moved to the top of my list now. If anyone needs me, I will be enjoying this gift from the top down and appreciating. *red shirt stupefaction in 4...3...2...1* And thank you, Mr. Lambert. A lot. Let me get this straight, does this mean that you think that The Shrine To The Red Shirt in my living room is over the top?

I just realised that there were no health problems - no one sick, no vocal problems for Adam, no cancelled shows. They were getting stronger and stronger. And left us deaf, dumb and blind. As it should be. Amazing tour at every level. This was truly a well-staged, disciplined operation. I am pleased for this -- but I have come to expect that Adam will always be there. As far as I know, he has never missed a concert, and I recall only one occasion where he had any vocal stress issues while on tour and that was during the Idols Live Tour -- he was on vocal rest for 4 or 5 shows and skipped the fan meetings at the buses. 2009 he was on a grueling schedule and during which he recorded FYE, did Idols Live which was 52-dates, 50 cities July 5, 2009 in Portland, Oregon and ended on September 15, 2009 -- 52 concerts in 73 days, plus Adam did promo for more than 30 concerts and they had M&Gs and fan signings at the buses for most of these concerts.
There was one other occasion where he was reported to be on vocal rest -- but it was before he kicked off his Glam Nation Tour: popwatch.ew.com/2010/05/27/adam-lambert-american-idol-finale-rumor/It was all part of the very entertaining 2010 American Idol Finale rumors -- Adam the diva, not showing up for rehearsals, etc. Turned out that they did not ask him to perform and he was on pre-tour vocal rest anyway. I remember once where he had to cancel a gig because he was sick.. I can't recall where he was exactly, but it was in Europe and it was, I think, for a radio gig?
