I have noticed that Q3 has been MIA for 24 hours. She didn't mention she would need help putting up the Sunday thread and she is a night owl so I am going to assume she will get to it. If it's not up in the morning, I will put one up then.

BrianMaycom @brianmaycom .@queenwillrock “BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY” ALMOST WASN’T IN WAYNE’S WORLD @vh1classicprep READ ON: bit.ly/1lIgs5R**Sat 06 Sep14** “BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY” ALMOST WASN’T IN WAYNE’S WORLD Wayne's World A whole new generation was exposed to Queen thanks to a memorable scene that used “Bohemian Rhapsody” in the hit 1992 film Wayne’s World, but it turns out, “Wayne,” “Garth” and their friends almost rocked out to a totally different song as they drove in their AMC Pacer in the flick. Star Mike Myers told Marc Maron on his podcast that producers wanted to use Guns N’ Roses due to that band’s popularity at the time. Myers almost walked from the film over the song, explaining, “Queen, at that point – not by me and not by hardcore fans – but the public had sort of forgotten about them. Freddie [Mercury] had gotten sick, the last time we had seen them was on Live Aid, and then there were a few albums after where they were sort of straying away from their arena-rock roots. But I always loved ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ I thought it was a masterpiece. So if fought really, really hard for it. And at one point I said, ‘Well, I’m out. I don’t want to make this movie if it’s not ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’” Hear the whole interview at WTFPod.com. www.brianmay.com/queen/queennews/queennewssep14a.html#29

Sigh. And so it starts. Only 86 people viewing the daily thread this morning. That is less than half of what we have been averaging during the tour. Yup. <grins> A lot of us are frantically back-paying bills, filling out delayed school forms, and doing the million chores that we blew off during concert time. Still poking head in whenever taking a break, but desperately playing catch-up in RL. This about describes my reality - chaotic from neglect. I had to spend four hours yesterday weeding my usually pristine garden - I'm expecting a butt like Beyonce's from the squatting. aleks that photo you posted is a work of art. I finally updated my avi - I think I look very pretty . This incredible photo was my inspiration.

You know how there are certain things you are curious about? Adam (and Leila too, I think) mentioned that there was one note in a musical that Adam sang when he was young, can't remember the musical, maybe Joseph and The Technicolor Dreamcoat? Or Fiddler on the Roof? Anyway, IIRC, he hit this note and the audience was amazed and Leila realized he really had something special. I would love for an interviewer to ask him to repeat that note. And I would also love to hear cassie interview him and ask him exactly how his opera training informs his singing. How does he incorporate it, use it, how did that training help him improve. And leave him plenty of time to respond, because I have wanted hear him talk about this ever since I heard he had a year of opera training. And I would also like to hear more about how he uses what he learned singing all those styles on that cruise ship for a year. Also he could just stand on the stage and let me look at him. Hmmmm, that sounded a bit creepy, but I think you know what I mean. And just to keep you updated on my mystery bold icon doings in my reply window, I now have back the blue box with the white question mark in the bold icon spot. But that's okay, because it does bold the text.
