Adam states flat out, he is signed to a new label. We knew it must be true but it is nice to hear from the horse's mouth. I was just thinking, is Adam the only Idol alum who had been dropped from his label, but resigned to another major label? Everyone else I can think of has gone to a much smaller label or indie. Maybe this is another "first" for Adam. I don't think that Adam was dropped from his label. They were perfectly willing to put out another album with him, but not the album Adam wanted to make. So the truth is probably somewhere in the "I quit" to the "amicable divorce" range.

I think we should examine that AI audition video of him singing BoRhap more carefully, and look for other stuff that can also come back as full circle moments. He's nailed two for now.

True, but one of his idols FM is about to be heard on one or more duets with MJ...six degrees of separation? (I know I'm stretching, LOL).

Who do you suppose Adam would consider the most suitable, for him, executive producer between Rob Cavello, and Max Martin...and what are the implications of each re label and direction? Is there a serious place for Nile Rogers in there?

I'm watching my granddaughter today so I peek in when I can and I didn't hear the part on the interview with Ryan about definitely having signed with a new label. Was that in a different interview?

Loved Harry's comments on the expectation that people aspiring to be winners in a singing competition should perhaps know their musical terminology. And Adam's that part of the reason for an audition is to evaluate how you would react to performing in spite of nerves. And speaking of sarcasm: link

Adam Lambert graduates from Idol alumni to judge
The openly gay singer and former American Idol contestant has returned to the show, but this time as a member of the judging panel.
Adam Lambert took the leap from Idol alumni to judge this week, but only as a stand in. Lambert joined Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. at the New York American Idol auditions, acting as a temporary replacement for Keith Urban, who has taken a leave of absence to be with his wife Nicole Kidman following the unexpected death of her father.
Lambert, who has just completed his summer tour with Queen, was the runner up in the either season of the talent finding competition, and has since gone on to become one of its most successful discoveries.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about his guest spot on the panel, Lambert expressed his joy at making the jump from former contestant to judge but added “Unfortunately, it’s under these circumstances. My condolences to Keith and his family”.
Meanwhile, fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. have embraced Lambert into the fold and expressed their fondness and respect for the ex-contestant.
Lopez said “Adam is so fun. He brings in a whole new thing. He’s a sweetheart”, while Connick added “He brings what no one else can bring which is the perspective of a contestant who made it all the way to the finale”.
