Adam Lambert teases new album: 'I'm signed to another label and have an amazing producer'
Vocal powerhouse Adam Lambert is hard at work on a brand new studio album and has revealed that he recently signed to a new label and is truly excited about the team he has involved with this project. During a new interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest, the 'Trespassing' hitmaker opened up about his highly anticipated new album and teased a few details about what he has been working on, although he was cautious not to give too much away: “I’m not going to say too much because I try to keep things under wraps. I’m working on this album, I’m really excited about it. I got signed to another label, which I’m not going to reveal right now, but it’s a really good deal and it’s a good project. I’m working with an amazing executive producer. Again, I can’t say too much, but it’s going to be really good.” Referring to his current inspiration, Lambert went onto add that he's listening to as much music as possible because he wants to know what's popular and what kind of songs are being released at the moment: "I listen to everything. I think it’s my responsibility. “You got to hear what’s going on and what people are doing. And I think genre is kind of becoming this like — I don’t think it matters anymore. You can’t sit there and go, ‘You’re pop, you’re rock, you’re dance.’ I think it’s all blending and I think that’s what’s magic.”

ETA: A nd remember this 'awkward' Adam/Ryan moment on Idol? 
It might have been awkward but it was totally priceless! One of my favorite TV moments. Adam's expression should have gotten an Emmy award |

I thought it was playful. I disagree with all the people saying it was sarcasm and he was telling people to stop. His last comment about "keep doing it" had a very nice tone to it. As did his facial expressions1 Remember his sarcasm about Gene Simmons? This was not the same. Not even close! So I am with you on this mszue! I had the same impression as you, Mys*&@^#r. "Playful" is a great word to describe it for me.  I think he got two messages across. Fans are acting like publicists and in a way it is a cool but the playful and gentle subtext is "be mindful how you are doing it". A little footnote to how not to do it from the earlier debacle. If it was conscious or unconscious, it was still masterful. |

It might have been awkward but it was totally priceless! One of my favorite TV moments. Adam's expression should have gotten an Emmy award I find the evolution of his relationship with Ryan to be very interesting. At one point after WWFM Ryan was a little snarky and seemed to give tough interviews with Adam. Then time when by and their relationship seemed to change. I don't know if its Ryan that changed or what exactly. Maybe new found respect? (Or maybe this is all in my imagination.) |
