eBay under pressure as hacks continue
By Dave Lee and Leo Kelion BBC News eBay says it has no plans to disable active content on its listings pages Leading security researchers have called on eBay to take immediate action over dangerous listings, as the problem continues to put users at risk. The BBC has now identified more than 100 listings that had been exploited to trick customers into handing over personal data. Over the weekend, readers got in touch with the BBC, saying they had attempted to warn eBay about the problem. The company said it would "continue to review all site features and content". The BBC has found that: Innocent user accounts were hijacked in order to place the fake listings. Many of the accounts had 100% positive feedback, and had sold hundreds of items. One victim who had his account hijacked told the BBC he was locked out of his account - and later billed "around £35" by eBay to cover seller's fees for items he had not auctioned. When customers clicked on a listing that had been compromised, they were brought to a sophisticated, official-looking site that asked victims to log in and share bank account details. The types of items used to target victims ranged from smartphones and televisions to hot tubs and clothing. The vulnerability centres around users' ability to place custom Javascript and Flash content into their listings pages. Often sellers will use this method to make their pages look more exciting, with animations or other eye-catching techniques. But use of Javascript and Flash, eBay acknowledged, significantly raised the likelihood that malicious code could be included within the site's pages - due to a hacking technique known as cross-site scripting (XSS). It meant users clicking on eBay listings that appeared legitimate were being automatically re-directed to harmful websites designed to steal user information, including credit card details. The problem has affected the site since at least February, the BBC has confirmed - although some experts say it has been an issue for more than a year.

So last weekend I ended up burning my own version of "the best of" the QAL tour and some of the interviews onto DVDs, all from You Tube videos. I'm watching them on my large TV. It makes it so much better than watching on the computer! Has anyone else done this? I have 4 DVDs so far but I will probably end up with a lot more when all is said and done. I think quite a few peeps do this, I am not tech savvy enough to. In the past, DVD's have been for sale by various people, kind of under the radar. Dancygeorigia did some great ones from the 2012 QAL, and they are really good. I would be very interested in getting a professionally made DVD of any of the concerts. I have chromecast, but haven't tried to watch any of the concert on my big screen TV. Have you posted your "best of " list or do you have a YT list you could share? Thanks!
I haven't yet but I can share. Where is the best place to put it? I'd be happy to burn some stuff if people are interested. Just let me know by private message. Thanks!

These things are never "for sale"! If they are available from fans they are for cost of materials and shipping and possibly a reproduction service only! One of the reasons we don't like to do it is because it gets labeled as "for sale" which could get people into trouble!

I used to burn DVDs to watch on the TV. Dancygeorgia said that if you have a regular DVD burner it converts all 1080s and 720 HD downloads to 480. I'm spoiled now watching and DLing in 1080 bluray quality, so I just watch on my 1080 27" computer monitor with really good headphones. I know lots of people don't have HD computer monitors. What I need is a bluray burner and I don't have one on this PC. It only has a bluray player. I'm not techie enough to know how to do it. Last nite I watched that 10 gig DL of the MSG QZ multicam on my PC. Really nice. I wouldn't know how to get that quality on a DVD disk. I have big HD tvs and of course, seeing it on a big screen would be even better. I think I could get one of those Chromecast wireless things and watch on a TV, but I'd have to move my PC close to a TV I think. I know that works for Youtubes. It's always nice to have things stored on hard copy DVDs. We give them as gifts and carry to various Atop get togethers, etc. lelemaple....are your DVDs regular or Bluray? What ever happened to our "best of" list. Last I remember we only made it to Stone Cold Crazy. There is no way of putting the 1080p downloads on a DVD and retaining the same quality because DVDs only hold 480p video! You need a Blu-Ray burner to burn 720p or 1080p to a blu-ray disk. You can get a portable USB Blu-Ray burner for around $100 from Amazon. There are also a number of ways to channel the 1080p video directly from your PC to your HD digital TV. If your PC has a HDMI outlet, then you just need a long enough HDMI cable to do it. I bought a 25 ft. HDMI cable from Amazon for very cheap. I will post pictures and links for this later. There are also a number of ways to stream the video from your PC to your TV wirelessly if your equipment is capable, or with using add on devices like Apple TV. But this gets very specific to your equipment setup and would require a much longer discussion.
