10 Predictions for A3
9.25.14 by Q3
Adam was last seen in LA -- but he has not been "seen" since Sunday night. Usually when Adam is out of sight, he is working. So hopefully he is working away on FINISHING A3!!
So while Adam is working away -- and we remain in the total darkness about what he is creating -- let me put forward a serious guess about where he is headed. Here's my ten predictions for A3.
1. He said "genres are passé" but they really are not. The music business, retail stores (real and online), streaming media, radio, and even awards are arranged by genre. So my bet is that it will incorporate influences from funk and electro, but it will be a pop-rock album with mostly pure pop tracks.
2. I bet this will be a less personal, less introspective album compared to Trespassing.
3. I expect the vocals to be clearer and more upfront than in his past albums but Adam is smart, and he is working with Max Martin and an "amazing" executive producer. So my bet is that it will be mixed to work in 2014 -- on the radio and as digital music, that is, tracks designed for total sonic effect with strong beat and not "vocal showcases". Fans should look to live performances for that.
4. The title will be one word with no #. #s are passé.
5. There will be a track that has the same name as the album. It will be released as a single but not the lead promoted single.
6. Adam and his team will do something surprising in this post-Beyonce era -- they will release the album with a very short, very intense promotional effort -- not a long promo cycle like Trespassing.
7. They will release 19 tracks total included special tracks for the UK/EU and Japan, and Adam has co-written 17 of them.
8. There will be a headshot of Adam on the album cover.
9. The color theme for the era will include one or more distorted primary colors (e.g. ice blue) and a metallic color. (The primary colors are yellow, red and blue. He used yellow and cherry red, so hello blue!) The metallic color will be platinum or silver.
10. The album will incorporate something new, experimental in the music.
Bonus: There will be a deluxe box version with vinyl and CD and more stuff. It will be beautiful.
One prediction I am 110% sure of: Everyone reading these predictions will love A3.

Legendary rockers Queen talk working with singer-songwriter Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert has slotted into Queen as their vocalist like a missing piece to a jigsaw. Of course, he’ll never replace Freddie Mercury but as he’s said, that’s not what he wants to do.
However, no matter how you look at it, for now, Adam Lambert is probably the best man for the job to lead Queen around the world in terms of stage presence and vocal ability.
Queen themselves have said it several times and even some Queen fans are beginning to feel like Adam is ideal for carrying on the Queen legacy.
Recently Queen sat down for an interview with BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans and discussed in depth their recent tour across North America, Australia and New Zealand with the vocal powerhouse.
Guitarist Brian May admitted to the popular radio DJ that after performing a handful of Queen songs, Adam managed to win over audience members – including those that initially weren’t sure.
It’s understandable as after all Freddie Mercury was one of a kind, and while Lambert has similar traits, you’ll never get an exact replica and many hardcore fans are often worried.
Why are they worried? If they haven’t heard Adam perform before then they’re not sure how their favourite Queen song is going to sound from a new voice, and it does make sense.
May himself explained: “We have Mr. Adam Lambert, who is incredible. He ticks [all] the boxes. But more than that, he’s not trying to be Freddie [Mercury].

“An extraordinary singer with extraordinary range. He connects with the people. It takes about three songs for everyone who has any doubts to go, ‘Yeah! Okay. This is cool.’” he added.
As fans in Europe and the UK will know by now (or perhaps you don’t!) the group are already working on putting together a tour of Europe including dates in the UK.
“We’ve just had one of the best tours we’ve ever done, we’ve been to America, Canada, Australia, Asia and New Zealand.” they explained.
Queen added that they’ve already got a singer who is “amazing” and they’ve got a “good show” so why not carry that onto Europe and the UK.
Of course as soon as we hear when the tour dates have been confirmed we’ll be sure to let you know, we hope it’s soon but we’re in the dark as much as you are, so standby!

Adam Lambert dials down the pressure & Jennifer Lopez LOVES him!

Adam Lambert has revealed that he’s trying to change his outlook and go a little bit easier on himself at the minute.
The singer / songwriter has always been his own biggest critic and he’s put a lot of pressure on himself to succeed over the years.
The American Idol star is currently working on his third studio album, which is highly anticipated from fans around the world. However, instead of worrying about how it will be received, how it will chart and how it will sell, the hunk is trying to enjoy the process a bit more.
In a chat with Fox News Adam explained:
“In the past I’ve been a little harder on myself, but this summer I realised you’ve got to enjoy yourself.”

Lambert also revealed that he’s been learning a lot of lessons from rock Gods Queen, as he toured North America with them recently.
The For Your Entertainment hitmaker has spent a lot of time with the British stars and admitted that they’ve been teaching him a lot about fame and the music industry.
“They take their work seriously, but they don’t take it too seriously. And I think that balance of being lighthearted – because it is music and it is entertainment – that’s so important. If you’re not having fun, the audience isn’t going to have fun,” he said.

Meanwhile Adam has been working on American Idol this month, returning to the show that made him famous, for a short guest judging stint. In a video shared on Instagram today he said:
“I am trying to help these contestants to be their best, because this is a make or break moment!”
Harry Connick Jr and Jennifer Lopez are clearly as besotted as us with Lambert and the clip was captioned:
“Sounds like @jlo & @harryconnickjr enjoyed having @adamlambert guest judge, we bet they’re not the only ones! #idolauditions”
