Awwww……thanks for all the congratulations! Yes, it took many years and millions of dollars but now, there is a new treatment option for people suffering from vision loss due to their diabetes. Diabetic macular edema is the leading cause of blindness and with diabetes reaching almost epidemic proportions, the approval of this drug could not have come at a more opportune time. The drug has been approved in 17 other countries and will touch so many lives. I am proud and at the same time humbled to have been given this opportunity to help others. For those who wanted more information, please PM me and I will send you some literature.
Yet this approval is bittersweet for me. I will share my personal journey in the members only section.
This is a great community and the love and support from all members mean a lot to me.
And to bring this back to Adam - with the approval, I will be semi-retired and will have more time to spend with you wonderful people stanning our man.

Ha! I am about to travel that way right now to get home. I take Crescent Heights and Laurel Canyon every day to work and back. LOL. I'm afraid if I lived that close by, I'd be tempted to just circle by ...a lot....lol. OH MY, you guys!!!! lol, guess it is a good thing it is not a 'circle by' kinda street. One way in - one way out. |

Can someone help me? I thought there was a section in Members Only where we can post something where only members can view. Cannot seem to find it. All I see are all the concert threads.

ETA: Guess there is some confusion. This drug is for diabetic macular edema. not for age related macular degeneration although I also worked on a drug for AMD. If you need information on drugs for these two conditions, PM me.

Here is the dinner conversation between my husband and I this evening
Husband: everything ok ? You seem a little down in the dumps this week
Me: Meh I am ok
Conversation turns to other things - a few mins later he says "did you buy tickets to go see your King in Europe"
Me: no I didn't, we've had this conversation and Jan/Feb is the absolute worst time for me to be away from the office
Husband : maybe I should call your boss because I don't think there is going to be any living with you if you don't go
I guess I've been a little blue this week knowing I'm not going :(. My husband made me chuckle though picking up on it and calling Adam my King.

I think you need a dash-cam, they are very popular in Russia at least based on the number of videos I see of weird traffic occurrences. Let us know if you see anything good like someone surreptitiously sneaking out of his driveway. I promise not to tell the tabloid news.  Almost. He is a very short distance from my route. My route switches from crescent heights to laurel canyon at sunset but his location veers off a bit into the hills, probably a half mile or so. I didn't even realize until now. Holy crap. |

I was using the term "circle by" loosely..., what I should have said was head up the winding narrow road and make a U turn behind his garage and then head back down the hill. LOL |
