Don't often disagree with Adam on singers, but I have to here - sorry Adam, don't get the love  I like Sam Smith -- but I am a fan of Brit Soul in general. Sam Smith is very popular and topping US and UK charts in lots of formats. For example, US Urban AC chart right now. www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/urbaninsite/Charts.asp?format=U2RSo while taste varies, on this one, Adam is in the mainstream with his appreciate of Sam Smith. So between Adam, Frank Ocean and Sam Smith, the "gay" issues seems to be over -- in every format except Christian/Inspirational and Rhymic Top 40. But I think RT40 is a matter of time. |
