From "robininny" who was at the show with her daughter. Daughter spoke with fab guitarist who accompanied @adamlambert @hlballroom said he was hooked up for gig by @nilerodgers 9:43pm - 13 Oct 14 This could be part of a planned A3 break from the prior band too. I'd say give the guy some love, tough gig to pull out of the hat. I seriously doubt that it is! Both TJR & Ashley have hinted that they will be there for A3. It is more likely that the event did not want to spend the kind of money required to bring the band to NYC. Just like RCA did not want to spend the money to fly Adam's band to England for a few small Trespassing promo events and instead hired a rent-a-band who played over backing tracks. I think this event was basically a charity event. In the video from last year they talked about raising $50,000 for Trever Project. I would not be surprised if Adam is donating time for this event and not getting much more than expenses.

Looks like Jolty did not get in but did upload that video. So he must have been outside. Ahh yes I did see him outside. (And I am indeed @amangoose and admittedly not much of a twitter user.) I noticed for the first time that Adam looks really thin! I had to do a double take; I recognized his face but then looking at him from the side threw me off. Is it just me or has he lost weight recently? I mean, nothing bad about that--he still looks ridiculously pretty--it just surprised me. I mean, he's perfect any which way he is, so...

Oh, Jolty, I am so glad that you got in! Must have been amazing live. Except for 2009 during the Idols Live Tour (he was heavier then, although certainly not "heavy"), Adam has always looked strikingly thin live. Tall and thin. And never in an unhealthy way. But since around 2012-early 2013, he has been around this same weight-shape and working out. The combination of his height, heeled boots, and his build is very striking, very different live. I thought that during Q+AL 2014 he looked a bit thinner toward the end of the tour than at the beginning. Not in a bad way but noticeable. And yes, "ridiculously pretty" is a good description. When I have seen him live, up close, my reaction is usually in this sequence -- he's so gorgeous, he's so tall and thin, he's so gorgeous, then I am just stunned by his intensity. (intensity is not the right word -- but whatever it is). But he really has a relatively small frame plus is tall, plus emphasizes his height which makes him look thinner. Camera images are often distorted -- and really do usually make people look heavier. The result is that celebrities that manage their image are often very thin live -- even when they in great shape. I remember being totally shock the first time I stood next to Mick Jagger (I am taller in heals and weighed more -- even in the 1980's), David Bowie (thin white duke was more than an era name), etc. Cynde Lauper must wear size 2. Etc, Etc.

Yeah, I saw him during QAL twice but not as close up as the other day, so maybe that's why, but he definitely looked thinner this time around. Honestly, he always looked a very healthy weight to me. He looked a lot smaller overall during idol for me--when he wasn't standing next to other people, at least. I know he joked about how it means he's fat when people told him he looked taller in person than on tv, but not at all, he was just super cute. I guess the camera images depend on who's taking the photos and how, but I prefer when they make people look heavier than when the photographers purposely make people look thinner. But yeah, wow, so many rockers are like that now that I think about it and I think a big part of it is because of all that energy they burn doing what they do.

I also thought he was small on AI because I never really watched the live show. I could only catch up on his performances online the next day. So I never saw him standing next to anyone. I just thought he looked like a cute little boy.

And I didn't watch it live either, but in the group numbers where you see everyone together, you can kind of see how he's taller than the rest of them.
