New season of the Voice of Germany - and what music do they use? *drumroll* Cuckoo - love them, I kinda start counting on them to get my fix of Adam music on TV. Please let them all be terrible ... Aint nobody got time for this shit ... #sorrynotv and I don't need no new addiction. I am hardly avoiding the new Conchita Craze as it is. ?.. Holding fast ... keeping my money for AFL. ETA: oh shit ... don't ever google whatever you are unsure about. Conchita will be in concert in Vienna on Feb 6 (fronting), how can I NOT go ???? Oh poor me, having to buy a ticket for Nena ;-) |

Today is Spirit Day. It originated four years ago by a frustrated 15-year old student named Brittany McMillan. It doesn't seem possible, but very few people were talking about bullying in 2010. In September of that year, after reading of multiple teenage suicides over the course of one week, Brittany decided she'd had enough.
From her laptop computer she urged her friends and family to wear purple to try and bring attention to some heartbreaking losses of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. These victims of bullying, from every demographic, felt suicide was a better alternative than asking for help. With a huge assist from GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), on Oct. 20, 2010, Spirit Day was unveiled. It was at that same time that Dan Savage created the first "It Gets Better" video which resulted in the It Gets Better Project.

No Adam in sight, do not fear - and the money still goes to AFL. But spotting Adam songs is a quiet amusing pasttime. I love it when any TV show uses Adam's music!! Last season there was an Adam song in every second show - I couldn´t believe it (kinda had the theory that there was a fan sitting somewhere choosing the music - sneaking songs in) |
