So Happy White Halloween to all in the upper Midwest where we have snow! F'ing snow in OCTOBER! It is weird where I am because it is raining on the ground level but snowing on my 12th floor balcony. Thankfully pumpkins are snowproof! (I have my Thanksgiving pumpkins on my terrace so they will stay cold and fresh -- hopefully it works! This year the soup will be pumpkin, and I want it served in a giant pumpkin tureen.) Heh heh heh. I grew up in Buffalo NY (aka Snow City USA - thank you Lake Erie effect), and so I remember wearing snow boots with my Halloween costume more than once! Much nicer weather in the DC area. Although there's two back to back wicked cold front fronts moving in this week. Temperature has dropped rapidly even in the last few hours. Glad my kid's costume is warm!

We had white Halloween in Spokane, WA but this year is the first white Halloween ever in Chicago. I am in NE Ohio and looks like we are going to just have Cold Rain Halloween! Is there anything worse than that!?!?

BTW - Do any of you know what character is a short, platinum-haired elf with a blue squeaky thing? A girl came trick-or-treating to my door in that costume. I think she said she was Link(?). The character looked familiar, but I couldn't place it at all.

She smelled the playa on you! oh Linda ....Had to be it! sheesh poor you granddduchesspf....so what did you say??? ...or dare you say!! Her selling points were that it was homegrown and all organic. I told her pot didn't have an effect on me so it wasn't something I was interested in, but appreciated her offer. Prob was a cop. I admit I looked rough, just finished washing the Rv. All 40 FEET. Wet t-shirt senior style but I needed candy!

Thankfully Halloween isn't really a big thing here in Oz (yet)... so no trick or treat kids last night - but then don't have that many kids in the neighborhood where I live.
Anyone taking bets on what Adam will dress up as this year? He seems to favor darker characters (well except for his Genie last year).

Happy Halloween Atopers!
Hoping this is accepted in terms of a laugh! No disrepect to anyone intended! My cousin just sent this to me.
A cabbie picks up a Nun. She gets into the cab, and notices that the VERY handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her.
She asks him why he is staring.
He replies: "I have a question to ask you, but I don't want to offend you."
She answers, "My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive."
"Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me."
She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that:
#1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic."
The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic!"
"OK" the nun says. "Pull into the next alley."
The nun fulfills his fantasy, with a kiss that would make a hooker blush.
But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.
"My dear child," says the nun, "why are you crying?"
"Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish."
The nun says, "That's OK. My name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party."
Thanks for my laugh of the day!!
