My guess is the Finale! Mid December!
Maybe he will be performing his new single! Then he introduces Queen and they perform. Let me dream!
Kudos to Myspenser50 for calling this one. He does indeed use his Twitter and IG follows to give us clues.
Regarding the performance -- my bet is they are there primarily to promote
Queen Forever which releases 11 November 2014.
I think there is almost 0% change it is an Adam song -- but my hope is they do a medley and that it is a great vocal showcase for Adam as a vocalist AND pushes them to release a Q+AL live recording.
In the past, Queen on X Factor and Idol was usually a big number with the contestants at the end of the show. Three recent TV show appearances:
> Idol Finale May 2009, performed "We Are the Champions" with finalists Adam Lambert and Kris Allen.
> 15 November 2009, May and Taylor performed "Bohemian Rhapsody" live on the British TV show The X Factor alongside the finalists.
> 25 and 26 April, 2012, May and Taylor appeared American Idol and performed a Queen medley with the six finalists on the first show, and the following day performed "Somebody to Love" with the 'Queen Extravaganza' band.
But in all three cases, it was Bri and Roger -- no lead singer.
My bet on this....
> They will pick "safe", crowd-pleasing choices.
> They will do a 3-song medley.
> Contestants will be involved. ;(
> Adam will sing lead on all three songs. [That eliminates LOML and TATD which having Adam sing would be wrong and they don't fit this event.]
> It will be songs they already have performed in concert OR an "newish" song.
> It will be songs from Queen Forever standard disc.
> They won't do BR, WWRY or WATC because that would be too much like past performances on reality TV shows. [And they are not on QF.]

> I go with WWTLF (no contestants), STL, CLTCL -- which are three songs they did in sequence at iHR Las Vegas 2013, would work well on TV, and can build to a WOW ending. Plus, these are three of Q+AL "best" numbers.
