Thank the universe for Adam. I woke up crying over the stupid Florida election and now I am sobbing with happiness for Queen and Adam. The tears are now tears of happiness and I am so grateful Adam is in my life. Adam seems to make everything better. I am overwhelmed with happiness for him. He deserves this award for many reasons. Not just for bringing Queen back to all of us, but for the hard work it took to get to this place in what I know will be a lifetime career of song. I long for a new album of Adam music. Kudos to Adam and long life!! I think many of us really needed this GOOD news this morning! Congratulations to Queen and Adam! |

Cassie, Brian and Roger have said many times they were never looking for a frontman. Since they haven't toured since mid 1990s, mid 2000s I believe them. I think the collab in Vegas was a great big, "Wow! Ah ha" for them.

I am so happy for Brian, Roger and Adam! I do have a couple of questions. * This award was allegedly decided by fans' voting. Yet, Adam and Brian were announced to be attending weeks ago. Is that because the voting was so overwhelmingly in favor of Queen that the results were assured? Or were the results rigged? Or was it really a surprise on awards night, and Adam and Brian just attended "in case"? * Brian has repeatedly said that Adam collaborating with Queen was completely "organic." This seems to be a talking point for him, just like Adam's talking point is "intimidated, but very honored". Why does Brian emphasize the "organic" meme? Does he think that Queen fans will be more accepting if they know that Roger and Brian were not out searching for a Freddie replacement? That Brian and Roger did not design and mold Adam to be the right frontman? * Why wasn't Roger there? * Is it my imagination, or does Brian talk more and more like Adam is a member of the group rather than a guest artist? And does the press seem to be framing it that way, too? Inquiring minds want to know. I can try to answer from my perspective. I was talking to the girls last night and I think they knew they were winning. Even though Brian had to present an award, that was not enough to bring Adam there. I suspect they knew, not to mention that they ended up only showing the top 3 votegetters and at the end of the segment, the Universal Music logo was shown on screen. Sammy Hagar referred to it and said it must be a Universal artist who had won. I'm not sure who Black Sabbath and The Black Keys are signed with, but I knew Queen is a Universal artist in the US. That kind of told me what I needed to see and hear. I think the "organic" comment is kind of aimed at trying to prove to the public that they weren't trying to replace Freddie but that it happened naturally and by fate. At least that's my two cents. Not sure why Roger wasn't there; maybe he had something else going on? Mys*&@^#r and I do suspect that the book signing for tomorrow was only planned because Brian was there for this event and otherwise, that would not have happened. Brian definitely talks like Adam is a member of the group, IMO. The respect and mutual admiration is truly a sight to see and was very cool in a non-performance setting. I am so happy I was able to go. It was so awesome to see them in a different setting. One of my favorite things, even if it sounds crazy, was Adam chatting it up with Anita for quite awhile. I mentioned that Anita is like Downtown Abbey smack dab in the middle of all these rock Gods. She is so prim and proper, LOL. |

Anita looked beautiful! We were laughing that she was one of the few "age appropriate" wives for these rock guys! She and Sharon Osbourne! The Osbourne famiyl was too cute!
