Adam Lambert reveals what makes Los Angeles a 'rock and roll city'
Singing sensation Adam Lambert has been performing as the frontman of Queen for some time now and the band picked up the coveted Band of the Year title at last night's Classic Rock Awards, and Lambert revealed that being in Los Angeles was fitting for the event.
When asked by a reporter on the red carpet about what makes Los Angeles a 'rock and roll city', the superstar explained that it has a strong connection to the genre and always has:
"What a crazy ride it's been. Well, it's a rock and roll city. You go down Sunset Boulevard and see all these famous rock clubs... there was a big movement that happened there - along with in San Francisco - in the '60s. Then in the '80s, the heavy metal movement happened... there's a lot of history here. We can see the Capitol Records building across the street. You know, L.A. is a music town!"
Speaking at last night's ceremony, Lambert told attendees that he was initially nervous to front such an iconic rock band, but he is so lucky to feel so welcomed by the other members:
"It's been such an honour to be on stage with such an iconic band and legends like this. At first it freaked me the f**k out, and then I started really enjoying myself and learning from these gentlemen and trying to take it all in. And I'm so lucky, so thank you."

It’s just a day of congratulating people on things.
First we congratulated Benedict Cumberbatch, and no we’re throwing our hands in the air for Adam Lambert and Queen. Or should we call them the band of the year?
Cause that’s what the Classic Rock Awards called them last night at their 10th annual award ceremony. And personally, I think they were totally correct in doing so.
just one of the shows that made adam & queen the band of the year.......
