OMG! OMG! OMG!!! I just logged in here, so I don't know if someone already reported about it but there was a reportage about Queen with an interview with Brian in the celebrity-TV-show "Prominent" here on German TV twenty minutes ago!!! I watched it but unfortunately couldn't record it because it came so unexpected for me! They didn't only talk about the old times with Freddie but also mentioned Adam and his talent and showed snippets of the Queenbert concerts!!! Besides they mentioned that the Queenbert tour will also come to Germany next year and showed all the German concert dates!!! I couldn't believe it, I'm so happy and excited now!!! I really hope that someone recorded the show! I will also look on the internet-page of the TV channel if it's possible to watch the show again in the internet!

My son and I took my mother-in-law to brunch today and my son was watching the beginning of a NASCAR race on a big screen TV and he says, "Mom, listen to what song they are playing in the background!" It was Under Pressure and I couldn't help but think the QAL World Tour with Adam, who helped revitalize Queen and their music to new generations, brought Queen music back to the forefront again and their songs (even the ones like UP that weren't stadium anthems like WWRY and WATC) are being played again! Adam really is an integral part of today's cultural movement on many different levels...social consciousness, human rights, and music mixing of many different genres just to name a few!! JMHO

TOT but (it's a slow day) I found this fascinating....Old time actress Heddy Lamarr was not just another 'pretty face' in Hollywood movies! Trying to bring it back to Adam...she helped invent wifi, Bluetooth, and GPS that Adam and many of us use today! (How was that for an Adam stretch!lol)
Feel free to scroll!
The Independent @independent 2h2 hours ago Hedy Lamarr was born 100 years ago today. She helped invent wifi, Bluetooth and GPS i100.io/invx3wC
The mother of wifi was a Hollywood legend
Posted 3 months ago by Matthew Champion in people Seventy-two years ago this week a patent was filed - number US2292387 - for a “secret communication system”.
Its holders were George Antheil and Hedy Lamarr, the latter then one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood.
The patent was designed to retain control of torpedoes without enemy craft discovering what frequency they were on. But the technology - which has its roots in pianos that played music from perforated paper rolls - was shunned by the US government until the Cuban missile crisis. Many years later still and the same principle, known as spread-spectrum broadcasting, can be found in wifi networks, smartphones and GPS. Lamarr was born Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler in Austria and married a munitions producer whereupon she developed a love of technology and tinkering with things. Uncomfortable with her husband’s growing links to the Nazis she immigrated to the US in 1937 and became a huge star with MGM during its golden age. Despite starring in a series of hit movies she largely shunned the celebrity lifestyle, instead preferring to return to her inventions in her own time, leading to the patent being developed.
"Any girl can be glamorous, all you have to do is stand still and look stupid." Hedy LamarrLamarr died in 2000, three years after being awarded the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Pioneer Award, while this year she was inducted into the American National Inventor’s Hall of Fame. Forbes describes her as the most glamorous geek of all time. Her son Anthony Loder said his mother “realised that what she came up with was important but I don’t think she knew how important it’s going to be”. “The definition of importance is the more people that it affects over the longer period of time. The longer this goes on and the more people it affects the more important she will be,” he added. “She has her place in history now.”
