First, a show spokesman shared a Twitter update: “YES — in a few weeks @queenwillrock will be performing LIVE in the #XFactor studio with @adamlambert! #MJvsQueen.” Then three days ago, columnist James Ingham of The Daily Star tweeted the following news: “For @adamlambert fans asking. I can confirm they will actually appear on @thexfactor on Nov. 30th with Queen. #AdamLambert.” Only days ago, guitarist Brian May of Queen had quieted rumors that the band and Adam would be performing on “The X Factor.” “Some excellent news ahead of Monday’s release of ‘Queen Forever,’” he tweeted. “This Saturday’s X Factor will be a Queen vs. Michael Jackson special. Please note: Contrary to rumors, Queen + Adam Lambert will NOT be appearing!” Other pop music superstars have also been rumored as performers on this season’s “X Factor.” According to James Ingham’s later tweet: “X FACTOR EXCL: Adam Lambert & Queen, Olly Murs, One Direction, Sam Bailey, Take That, Ella Henderson, Rihanna, and Sam Smith all set to perform!” He later added: “For Adam Lambert or Rihanna fans asking: I don’t know the dates. They are down ATM on the list of performers though that could change.” Meanwhile the rock legends in Queen are getting prepped for the huge UK tour, beginning in early 2015. That is by far the best interview yet from Brian gushing about Adam. So incredible! He's truly like a proud papa and for one legend to talk about another future legend in that way was so wonderful. The way he described when he knew it would work kind of reminds me of when you meet "the one" and know it's one of the best things to ever happen in your entire life. I get that feeling from Brian without question. I've listened twice already. The entire interview was very interesting; loved the talk about Hot Space and the direction that the band went in the early 80s.
I get a truly genuine sense from both of them that Adam really did save them and brought some true happiness into their lives regarding the band that had seemingly disappeared. As a fan, it makes me so emotional!
