I don't have AXS, but hope they don't cut off the beginning if they fix their problems and continue with the rest of the show. Fingers crossed they'll fix it and start from the beginning.

Is anyone watching AXS now? I was expecting to see Adam and Queen, but it's the performance show instead, with the finalists singing 2 songs each tonight, although the guide indicates it's one hour like the results show. AXS TV @axstv · 6m We're experiencing some technical difficulties, we should have them fixed shortly. In the meantime enjoy last nights show #UKintheUSA eta: I think they are showing the result show 3 hours from now, @10 pm Central Thanks, wal! Now I wish I hadn't told two people to either watch or record AXS tonight to see Adam and Queen. I did send them the link to view the performance earlier though.

Adam is already "broken in" in the US. IDG the idea that he needs to make it in the UK first to make it here. He already has made it here. Grammy nominated, double platinum single, 2nd single probably platinum by now, as is most likely the album. RCA screwed up radio in Trespassing era by choosing the dumbest singles. If the singles had been better chosen, radio would have played them! How do I know that? Because radio gave BTIKM a chance. It got to #17 in HAC. A great 2nd single probably could have saved that whole era! It could have been similar to Kelly's plan which was a break in HAC single, then a balls to the wall Pop 2nd single. For her it worked! Unfortunately, NCOE was not a balls to the wall single. And she is Kelly, the Idol Queen. However, the climb for her, for Mr Know It All, was not easy! Her fans were furious with that single being the first one! When an artist is "broken in" in the UK first it is a new artist, like Lady Gaga. But even she was a specific case. She had a dance club sound that hadn't made it big here yet, but was big in Europe. Oh, and most artists that make it there first & then come here, are British. These high profile gigs, both XF and NYE, will make Adam known in the UK, which he pretty much wasn't. Hopefully, the fact that BBC1 chose he and Queen for this gig will mean they are more receptive to him than last time. Just like the love iHeart seems to have for him, at the moment, might help here. How do US artists get played in the UK then? They have a single so huge here that BBC1 can't help but play it! I pretty much agree with you -- I think this is more leveraging opportunities than a strategy. Even if an artist has a big US hit, they may not even get added to any of the BBC Radio 1 playlists. The decision to book Q+AL for NYE was made by BBC One (TV) which has no direct connection to the 12-person BBC Radio 1 Programming Committee. But IF Adam releases music that is a hit with 15-24 year olds AND he is known in the UK, than they might add him to the BBC Radio 1 playlist. I think he is more likely to release music that fits BBC-Radio 2. *** Setting that aside, I completely agree that XF and NYE will make Adam better known in the UK where he is basically unknown. *** I believe that FYE is about 70K shy of RIAA platinum -- but it will get there someday.

UKGlambert @ukglambert 2h2 hours agoTo put into perspective what the BBC gig means for @adamlambert in the UK..........it's kinda like the equavilant of the US Superbowl While I think that is not quiet an accurate comparison, NYE Live concert will have 6 - 12 million viewers (the firework will have 13 - 14 million views), the Superbowl halftime show will have around 115 million viewers in the US plus more in other countries. Setting that aside, DMG manages artists who will be performing at both the BBC's NYE Live and the Superbowl.
