My DS(15) is running his 5th day of fever. Flu symptoms, ruled out Mono and Strep. Mom(me) is running a bit ragged.
Binging - I felt more under control this week. In the past that extra handful or serving was an oh well I'm feeling bad or fix it tomorrow. Rewards especially distant ones don't seem to motivate me so I turned to disincentives, first it was pay money, but then to what? Nah, didn't do it.
So I turned to my favorite got-to-have-it every-hour-of-my-life distraction, yep. AFL
I cheat, I don't get to come here or do anything Adam related for the rest of the day. So now I might forgive a "oops didn't think about it moment" but not a "you know you shouldn't" one.
Is it working? Well just one week in but it has helped. I haven't had a day without my AFL fix yet and I've made better choices. I feel a bit weird in that I'll do it for Adam but then I can't turn my family off like I can him and they are my long term reward.

Well, here it is Wednesday and I have had another out-of-control week and am up another 2 lbs.! ACK!!! Totally stressed out and binge eating. Yikes! Hoping for a better week!!! Jablea, hope DS is better now. Thanks for asking. I'm hoping he gets better soon but not yet as after 11 days of fever took DS back to the doc. He has pneumonia, so started him on antibiotics last night. I've been conferencing for 2 days so DH has gotten to stay home with him. Haven't weighed for a couple of days but I was doing good with my no Adam if I indulge deterrent so hoping that continues. Conferences were probably bad for me but I had fruit instead of a danish this morning at the continental breakfast so I was happy with myself. Hope you can de-stress stardust. Try my no-Adam idea for that extra helping you know you don't need but just don't give a f*** (that's how I've felt) it really, in my vast two week experiment, has helped my control.

I am stuck at the high end of my yo-yo string and really need to get myself back to walking but it is so hard to get back into waking up early. I keep resetting my alarm to get a little more sleep. Staying up late trying to keep up with Adam doesn't help matters. LOL

Completely forgot to check in last week, and ran out of hours yesterday! Have only heard the album once so far and still haven't caught up on everything. Not doing so well weight wise either, up again a couple of lbs. this week. Lunch out, dinner out, another dinner out, birthday cake in the house etc. Mad at myself, frustrated with my fitbit which stopped working and when I went back to my old zip that stopped working within a couple of days too. Have been walking as much as possible, even a hike the other day, so that part at least is good. I'll keep trying, hope you guys are too!

Oh hey! It's Wednesday!
I'm down 3! Yes! So many exclamation marks. I guess I shouldn't get too excited until I see if I can hold the line all the way till next week. Goals.
