I was able to get it to work by clicking on your name with description so that I didn't have to sign up. So that all looks like one way? Or out and back?

Oh My!!! This is grim!!! I am so out of control and have gained a bunch of weight. I'm embarrassed to tell anyone how much. Still struggling to get back in control!!! Are you losing control over portions or portions sizes or is it types of food that have your number?

It's kind of hard to see because the Red end point marker is covering up the Green start point marker. Look for the red balloon with the white dot. That's the start, then you can see by the mile marker numbers I went left to the end of the trail then returned and went past the start and along the lake, then turned and came back. We have a really nice trail system here and that section to the left is a newer piece. I love riding a bike but don't so much love riding on roads with cars so this is super nice. From where I started if I go right along the lake and keep going the network of trails is such that I could go 30 or 40 miles just on trails.

That's cool. We've got a greenbelt on both sides of our river that runs for about 30 miles but it doesn't link up anywhere near my house so I'm a duck on the sidewalk if I want to go out of my neighborhood.

Well, I do have to drive to get there but there are various places along the trails to park. From where I park from work I could get to the trail by just having to ride through one subdivision which isn't too bad but I haven't gotten that brave yet. Still in the remembering how to ride stage so trying to avoid any distractions like having to watch traffic.

Well, I haven't ridden a bike on a regular basis since college so we're talking about 30 years or so with only a few occasional forays during that time so I wasn't sure how comfortable I would be at first. Also the only multiple gear bike I've had was one my daughters friend gave her that I rode occasionally but honestly never even tried to change gears. I might have ridden 10 times in the last 30 years and nothing more than a turn or two around the neighborhood. I decided to spend the money and get a nice bike. My walking buddy Wendy and her husband had just bought bikes from a local cycle shop and they were really happy with them so I went with the same bike. www.norco.com/bikes/city/urban/indie/indie-4/It's a good solid sturdy bike without being heavy and I can fit it in the back of my scion. I may get a rack for the car later but since I'm almost always alone in the car anyway this works out fine. I can have it available all the time but not exposed to the weather like it would be on a rack.

Sigh. Back up again. My scale has been a bit wonky though so maybe I need to change the batteries.
