Adam show us the position, problem is we need to hold it here for a minimum of 30 seconds and preferably for a full minute. So what I do is find the back of a couch or my DH's leather chair and pretty much just stand there. Lean into it as far as you can and also, do you see Adam's toe pointed back toward him? yeah, do that too to really get a good stretch.
Yeah, down 1. Yah biiigggg number. I was all over the place this week and I swear my scale can change by two pounds in 2 hours. It's like there is a Yellowstone hotspot under my house that rotates with the sun and hasextra gravitational pull because at 5am I usually weigh 2 more pounds than I do at 7am. There really can't be a rhyme or reason for that so I think I will have to break down and buy a new scale next time I'm at Costco. Maybe 15 to 20 years is just too much for a digital scale. Anyway, this puts me at -3 for the week. I'm still on my paper tracking but I'm being consistent with it.
So question for this week. What do you do to stay active during QAL concerts?
For me - For Sunday's QAL when we had a stream I listened at the computer but got some hand sewing done. Yeah chores! For household chores that I can't do at my desk, I can use the browser on my phone and then hook up my earphones to it. Mobile QAL stream.
And a quick list of our participants - so far - remember you can start any time during the year
Only down 1 pound this week. But it will add up as I continue. If I am religious in my efforts, the diet I am on really works. There are two weeks of really strict portion control. One week of adding foods and portions. Then back to two weeks of really strict portion control. I really look forward to the week where portions are increased. I try to pretend I am enjoying 3 cups of popcorn as a snack.
The diet is a metabolism diet and has really worked for me over the years. It is so much harder when you are older however. I get in these moods of thinking "why do I have to diet" "it doesn't matter anymore". I have been dieting most of my life so it does get boring to diet and deprive yourself of delicious desserts (sugar). Sweets and bread are my downfall.
I do my bicycle everyday, everyday, everyday...... I have to in order to keep my arthritic hip in action. I am trying to outlive the need to have another hip replacement.
Continue on people. We can do this and get healthy. I am allergic to statins so I have to really watch my cholesterol. I just got my test results back and they were pretty good for a change.

Completed the first week after my initial weigh in last week, and down 1.8 lbs. That's pretty good, as I wasn't totally good this week with some outings in the mix, and that usually involves food and drink! Just came back from my walk and now finishing breakfast Still not quite caught up on the latest concert thread, and working on my annual bookkeeping of the business, so lots of computer times! Do get up for breaks to walk around and stretch. Great to hear everyone is doing so well, in one way or another!
I am like a tree, from my top bough I can see the footsteps that led up to me
I've lost a total of 15 lbs and I can actual wear some of my clothes that haven't worn in about 10 years. I love clothes so for me it is a great incentive to wear some of my favourite pieces again.
RL has kept me very busy lately so I have not been able to listen to the streams during the day but I have tried to catch up on the videos in the evening. I am so glad that the tours is so well received and the reviews have been great.
Continuing the work on our hips we return to our yoga floor mat and lay on our side. Bend your knees and keeping feet touching raise the upper knee to vertical and then return. For different reps you can move the position of your legs, more forward or more behind you to work different parts of your hip abductor muscles. Repeat on other side as needed.
and chapf - we are so adorable in your imagination
I can't report anything as the digital scale went back to college (ya, my DS travels with his own scale) and I am on my super old one where I can't see anything under 1 lb. My goal is 0.5 lb/week, so I hope it happened. Hope I'll be able to see some progress next week.
As far as concert time - I stream on my phone, use the "real good" earphones with it and dance around instead of sitting. I LOVE that it's only audio, or I'd be glued to the screen....
ETA: I was watching the newly uploaded riddle's Manchester vids (SUPERB!!!!) and I decided to mimic Adam's movements. TRY! You'll see how much energy it takes! And that's without singing.... no wonder he needs a trainer.... plus it's pure fun!
