London fireworks, 11.55pm, BBC1For the first time the London firework display is ticketed, after 500,000 people tried to watch the event in the city last New year's Eve - resulting in many being turned away for safety reasons. This year, around 100,000 spectators will be watching the spectacle along the River Thames. Although the tickets sold out weeks ago, you can avoid the crowds and cold and watch the event live and in full on BBC1. Queen + Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben Live, 11.15pm and 12.10am, BBC1
The surviving members of Queen will bring in the new year with a live concert with Adam Lambert in London. The event will take place in the build up to the clock striking midnight, continuing after the firework display along the river. Featuring Lambert as their front man, the exclusive performance will showcase some of Queen's greatest hits. "I never imagined we would be around to usher in the year of 2015, what a thrill! We promise you a great night," Roger Taylor said.
