zeldon--I bought my earplugs for the QAL concerts last July, but realized quickly that I never needed them so they remain unused....I couldn't bear to miss a single sound. Anyway, the ones I purchased were ETY PLUGS {standard fit} from www.etymotic.com They were highly recommended and were delivered quickly. Have a wonderful time at the concert.....

Be aware, sweet water gives excellent customer service, but they also send a heavy, big-ass catalog a couple of times a year.

Just a heads up. I find these blue "standard fit" to be too small for me. I used these blues instead on my elementary-school aged daughter for our show at Merriweather. I find the white "large fit" to be much more effective. So if your ear canals are average-sized, I'd buy the WHITE versus the blue. Earplugs will squish down, but too small won't protect you at all. I bought mine on Amazon (with free shipping). ETA: I would never go to a concert without earplugs, and these are amazingly better than the cylindrical foam versions (though I always grab a few packs of those out of my lab when I'm going to a show just in case). My job requires regular hearing checks and hearing protection, so I've tried a lot of different plugs. Etymotics is my go-to brand for music.

Finally catching up over the busy holiday season........ Loved the NYE concert.... and this Metro clip shows just how big a 'get' that gig was for Adam. Yes, I read many of the tweets from Adam virgins post NYE, but the Metro piece.... there's no mention of Queen. Just 'Adam Lambert tickets' and 'Sought-after: Adam Lambert' He really was every bit the star on that night. I have a question....... I saw the Scott Borchetta tweet saying "The @ AdamLambert season" of AI was his favourite. I then thought I remembered that Scott had attended the GNT at the Ryman? Does anyone else remember that? Also the discussion about what they could show of Adam re: awards.......... I know that WWFM has sold 2X Platinum now, but I can't even find certification for Platinum. I know they certified FYE at Gold, but did they not seek out certification for WWFM? Really? Quoting myself because I just found the answer to my own question with a simple Google search...... content.usatoday.com/communities/idolchatter/post/2010/07/adam-lambert-brings-his-glam-nation-tour-to-nashvilles-ryman-auditorium/1#.VKsfG1q

Yup They sent me candy, called me a couple of times.. and yes I got catalogues.. it became really annoying.. All I ever bought were the ear plugs ,you would have thought I was their biggest customer...BTW The spongy water plugs from the drugstore worked better for me. :

Sigh... some of my best travel memories are from Venice - a magical place. It even looks good in winter. 1st win ever - None of my relatives get my attraction to AFL. And they really don't get that I'm going to Europe soon to see several Queen concerts. But a sister from out of state was recently visiting and agreed to watch sections of NYE concert with me. She had these four comments: #1 - When did Adam Lambert start looking so hot? #2 - Are those leather pants? #3 - Brian May's hair looks appropriately like Einstein's (Sister is interested in astrophysics so gives Brian major cudos) #4 - Is Queen more popular in Europe vs. USA? I don't know about the pants as they look like the same ones he wears in concert (I can't believe they are really leather). Anyone want to weigh in on those pants? LOL... the pants are apparently a coated/painted denim. I actually bought knit jeans the other day. They look like denim from the outside but are actually made of knit material and aren't so heavy and have movement. Maybe its something like that but I know nothing, LOL.
