Just listening to Dr. Bri berting on that podcast was not enough, so I decided to type the best parts. So here it goes, with some editing.
Q3 note: I broke this up into paragraphs and made a few corrections.
Brian May:
I have to say, we have the extra ingredient now that is Adam Lambert. Adam is a phenomenom. He has everything that you could ask from a frontman. (...)
He's delightful to work with. He's equipped with this stupendous instrument, his voice. I never heard a voice like that in my whole life. His range is extraordinary. He's also dedicated to his art in the same way that Freddie was. He recognizes that he has a gift from God. He doesn't waste it, he takes good care of himself. Even when he parties, till the ends of the earth, he's very much like Freddie, he into enjoying life, he knows when he can work and when he can play, so he's always on it for the show.
He's got a natural way with the audience, he's a born entertainer, much more than just a singer. He's also, which I really like, very physical on stage, I'm very aware where he is and very aware of where I am (...). That comes completely naturally, it's the kind of thing that you cannot choreograph, and it's great, cause it's gonna be different every night. But it is, you develop a flow, a kind of sixth sense about what the other guy is doing, and of course, our music is physical, it's not just in the mind, it's in the body as well, so they way we physically interact influences the way the music sounds very much.
He's very easy going, he's a total prima donna in the sense that he's into his clothes and into his looks and his fitness in the same ways as Freddie, and the same way as Elvis, I'm sure. I've never met Elvis but I have a strong feeling Adam conducts himself in the same ways that Elvis did. (...) (He's his own person.)
Well, he's more than that. He's so...what's the word, he's kind of very much overqualified. You could say that he fits the bill, but Adam is way way more than that. Even people who are skeptical, after about three songs they're eating out of his hand. They just love him. And I think by the end of the show Adam has become the complete focus of the show, that Freddie did as well.
It's a big thing, I feel very often like Adam is a huge part of the show, massive part, he's not just someone who's filling the slot.
He's changed us, he's brought us up to the 21 century, in some ways, he's reenergized us.
And himself, as a performer, I would go watch him. There's not too much performers of his generation that I would go watch, but I would watch him. I think he's a wonderful craftsman. And that voice is just beyond belief. Sometimes I'm standing beside, like in WWTLF (which he nails), and I never know how he's gonna nail it, sometimes he goes for a note and I think, 'Jesus, is he really gonna do that?' This goes through your head while you're playing, you can't lose your cool, but I feel like stopping and looking at the guy, 'What is he doing?', and 'Is he gonna pull it off?', yes, he pulls it off every time, he's never anything less than a million percent.
I'm sounding too exclamatory now, but I seriously get shivers up my spine at some of the notes he hits. And I know Freddie would as well. I know if he was watching somewhere, some place, somehow, he woud be thinking: 'God'!"

Queen at the Barclaycard Arena: Six things you didn’t know about Adam Lambert
Jan 12, 2015 17:30 By Luke Beardsworth
A look at Queen's new lead man Adam Lambert
Queen will play a show at the Barclaycard Arena on January 23.
The current line-up still features Brian May and Roger Taylor along with long-time keyboardist Spike Edney, bassist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Rufus Taylor (son of Roger).
The band have stated that after live performances, there is a chance that new material will be recorded.
That leaves someone to fill the void left by Freddie Mercury and it could be argued that there is nobody up to the task.
Previously, Queen had toured with Paul Rodgers with many expressing their disappointment at the end product.
Adam Lambert was hand-picked by May and Taylor to front the band this time around.
Here’s our guide to the extravagant new lead singer of Queen.

1. He was runner-up on American Idol
Adam Lambert gained a reputation as a flamboyant performer with real talent thanks to his stint on American Idol in 2009. He notably performed renditions of Muse songs and later, he and eventual winner Kris Allen performed We Are The Champions with May and Taylor.
2. He won Brian May over with his original audition
Most people choose something safe and familiar for their audition on American Idol or X Factor. Adam Lambert decided to throw himself in at the deep end when he performed Bohemian Rhapsody. Brian May would later admit that he was considering Adam Lambert as Queen’s singer as early as then.
3. His debut album contained a track written by Muse
Lambert had won himself some key fans thanks to his run on American Idol and among them was Matthew Bellamy, of Muse. He gave up one of the songs intended for a Muse album, called Soaked, to go on Adam Lambert’s debut, which is also contained tracks by Pink and Lady Gaga.
Q3 note: This is not completely correct. Matt Bellamy did not give Adam a song, Adam gave his RCA A&R Team a list of artists he admired that included Muse. His A&R Team arranged with Matt Bellamy’s publisher, Warner/Chappell to secure rights to the song for Adam to record on his debut album, For Your Entertainment. The first time Matt was asked by a reporter about Adam and the song "Soaked", Matt was not aware Adam had recorded the song, He only seemed vaguely aware of Adam.
Edited from the Muse wiki: www.musewiki.org/Soaked_%28song%29 “Soaked” was never released by Muse but was first known about in 2007 and first heard from the Warner/Chappell song catalogue in October 2009. Sounds similar to "United States of Eurasia" and "Hoodoo". It is unlikely that it was recorded during the time they recorded The Resistance as Muse have said they only recorded what is on the album, however it may have been completed after The Resistance was finalised. In the song's metadata the date of the song is automatically set to 2006 suggesting that it could be from the Black Holes and Revelations era. Furthermore in the 'Making of The Resistance' documentary, the band reference a song sounding similar to "United States of Eurasia" which never saw public release. Due to the similar sounding string sections of both songs it is "Soaked" the band are most likely referencing, suggesting that it could be the Elton John-like song the band never released.
Matt Bellamy spoke briefly about it in the Japanese magazine Crossbeat.
"I wrote a song called ‘Soaked’ when we were making Black Holes and Revelations, it is just like ‘Nikita’ by Elton John or one of those kind of tunes from the 80s. According to our publisher, it’s an Adam Lambert-esque song, who took second place in American Idol. I want to write various genres of music, classical music, pop music, and anything. I suppose Muse have the clear distinction that we must not go overboard, however, I sometimes cross that threshold as a songwriter. When I’m about to do so, it's made clear thanks to Chris and Dom.”

4. He left his label RCA because he didn’t want to do a covers album
He sent a letter to the Hollywood Reporter in July 2013 stating that he was leaving his label due to creative differences. They wanted him to do a covers album but he resisted, saying his new material was where his heart is.
5. His shows with Queen have earned strong reviews
Almost universally, reviews of his shows with Queen have received praise. Although Mercury is an irreplaceable talent, Lambert has been praised for performing with a similar spirit while not attempting to imitate. A chemistry between all the performers has also been noted, something May has called “organic”.
6. He is the first openly gay artist to claim number one spot on US album chart
With his second album Trespassing, Lambert became the first openly gay artist to top the Billboard 200 album chart. His work has seen him become an important figure in the LGBT community.

A great article with a bit of humor in it!
This article will probably be one of the most humorous of the whole Q+AL UK/EU Tour. The author (who I will not name on page 1) actually thinks Adam “does not hold a candle to” David Cook. Well for starters, I think that the only “candle-holder” in that sentence is Adam, and I really, really hope he is not “candle-holding” with David Cook.
