And multiple albums means Warner thinks they can make money from him over the long haul, so he doesn't have to hit it out of the park every time--tho we know he will.
Also, listening to Tyler Toliver today, made me realize once again how many artists find a sound and every song sounds the same. Perhaps delivering the "expected" sound is safer. Who knows? If Adam is anything he is a risk-taker, and the multi-genre idea he's had since the beginning is now in vogue, so maybe a larger piece of the listening audience will give him another or even a first try... He's such a hard worker and he's kept his name out there.
