I love this candid shot. Old fans' love, new fans applause, critic's approval, the great new Warner Bros. deal, new music in the near future, the great relationship with Brian May and Roger Taylor...so much coalescing at one time. Adam has never looked happier or more handsome. I am thrilled for him.

Some interesting observations (mine) about last nite's AI. It would have had lower ratings no matter what, I watched part of the previous nite, and it was horrible. The contestants weren't very good, and the overall production was marginal. So I think people thought why waste 2 hours the following evening. It was interesting to see that JLo huddled very closely to Harry C. for most of the broadcast. Jlo spoke a lot, and Harry did more theatrics than judging, which gave Adam very little time to comment. Jlo was constantly looking at Harry, and the two talking while contestants were singing was rude. I think JLo is totally intimidated by Adam, his professionalism, which caused her to up her game fortunately. I think she is so intimidated by his beauty, his knowledge, and talent, and his general charm, wit and musical knowledge. She huddled to Harry for safeness and comfort. Maybe she also was shocked at the fact he was more honest with the contestants, and said no to a lot more than she would have. I think Adam significantly upped the ante, which was good. I loved the way he really listened to each contestant and gave them their opportunity. This show is on it's way down and the headline of blaming Adam for last nite's low rating is laughable. the ratings will go further down next week and they'll blame it on something or someone else... I know some of us are super sensitive (lord knows I am), but what really matters is the exposure to another 10 Mil folks and whatever $$$s he got for the two days work. The whole thing was full of win! Actually I wonder what the $$$s were...not that we'll ever know... Nica.... you know what the headlines will be if the ratings keep getting low? They will still blame Adam by stating that "AI Ratings continue to Plummet since Adam Lambert appeared as a Guest Judge" :D Smokey.... I agree with your observation. I did notice that first during the sample of clips with Adam and compared it when Keith was there instead. Yes, very noticeable that she unconsciously moved closer to Harry's chair especially during their "critique" time. She usually just turns her head to Harry or Keith when they are giving their "judgement" but with Adam she turns her whole body (chair) towards him as if bracing for something that would make Adam standout (or something) and by huddling close to Harry, she feels that she has an ally, JMO of course. Keith usually sides with her and Adam doesn't do that. They could both say Yes and Adam says No. There was one contestant that both she and Harry said Yes and Adam said No and Adam followed it by saying, I still think he/she is not ready....so not intimidated at all to disagree to both of them. Heh! A lot of observation for a one-time 2 hour program .... again just my honest opinion. Maybe I'm just reading too much about body language ... it's Adam's fault

Recap of Glasgow.....with a bit of Newcastle.
And then... GLASGOW! Talking of being moved....when the gorgeous Momtomany took her stage seat, I waved to get her attention, in vain. I was just too near the front, I think. LOL. Suddenly, with no warning at all, a young man grabbed me around the knees and with what must have been superhuman strength (believe me!) he propelled me into the air, ordering me to get on his shoulders. YIKES!!! I could do nothing to stop it unless I'd pitched myself forward like some superannuated stage diver. Instead of which, I must have looked like one of those synchronised swimmers being thrust up from the surface of the sea of heads. He only put me down when he was sure Mom had seen me...'there you go' he said. So very kind of him....I could only say 'thank you'...I was crying with laughter.... Then everyone was asking how Mom got her seat - was she a 'Queen' wife, journalist? In explaining, I also said, for fun, that they would see Adam dance with her later. They took it with a pinch of salt but when it happened, about a dozen people hugged and congratulated me!!!It was the funniest, most surreal thing ever....happy, funny people I will always remember. ADAM CREATED THIS....IT'S ADAM'S FAULT.

TALCvids @talcvids 1m Review: Queen and Adam Lambert at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena www.northernlightsuk.co.uk/review-queen-and-adam-lambert-at-newcastles-metro-radio-arena/ … via @north_Lights_
When you think of Queen, you think extravagance, insane harmonies, and a fantastic show and Tuesday nights show at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena was no exception. Rock legends Brian May and Roger Taylor were joined by the 2009 American Idol runner up Adam Lambert to perform an extensive list of Queen hits from throughout the band’s illustrious career. They opened with 1985 hit One Vision, which showed Brian May still has it all these years later. The audience lapped it up and were in the palm of Adam Lambert’s hand from the get go. I want to dispel the myth that Adam Lambert was chosen to replace Freddie Mercury. He made this clear with a touching tribute to the legend himself. “There will only be one Freddie Mercury, ever,” he said to a rapturous applause. And he is right, although Adam Lambert did a cracking job of stepping into those rather large boots. His voice and demeanor appeared to roll back the years, yet he applied his own style to the classic songs. He’s probably as close as you’ll get to Freddie in 2015. The band moved on to an extended version of I Want It All, to the massive US hit Another One Bites The Dust and Fat Bottom Girls seamlessly. A highlight was Brian May’s guitar camera, which allowed the audience to see themselves from May’s point of view. Again it was Queen using their budget to it’s over-indulgent peak. For Queen, that’s no insult, that’s expected. The show moved onto a poignant, emotional moment as Brain May picked up the acoustic guitar and played Love Of My Life. All of a sudden, he was joined by Freddie on the big screens, the hairs on the back of everyone’s necks to stood up. It was a beautiful moment. It really summed up what I felt the tour is about; re-living the timeless hits of a band that made music history. The show swiftly moved onto A Kind Of Magic, sung by Roger Taylor who showed off his vocal abilities leaving his son, Rufus, to fill in on the drums. Another highlight was Who Wants To Live Forever, which the laser show eventually came out to an amazed crowd. The set ended with I Want To Break Free into one of my personal favourites, Radio Gaga, then finally the classic 1975 hit Bohemian Rhapsody. An encore was demanded by the crowd and an encore they got, starting with the unlikely choice of Stone Cold Crazy. I don’t think the audience were expecting that song, and the atmosphere seemed a little disappointed. However the crowd were won back after Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Will Rock You and finale of We Are The Champions. How apt for a band who really impressed a hopeful audience. So what’s the overall opinion of the show? A fantastic spectacle and was definitely worth every penny of the £69 ticket fee. Adam Lambert certainly did a fantastic job, without overstepping the mark of trying to be Freddie Mercury. The “new boy” certainly did Freddie proud. Words: Jake Cusworth
