'Queen and the UK have inspired me!' Adam Lambert announces brand new solo album
2015 is looking good for Adam Lambert: as well as a world tour with Queen he has also revealed all the details about his new solo album with Max Martin
Adam Lambert says that fans will be 'surprised' by his new musicAdam Lambert if having a hell of a year - and it's barely begun.
He came out of nowhere to dazzle us on New Year's Eve as the frontman for Queen and he's currently blowing the roof off stadiums around the UK with the legendary band on their world tour.
And now he has announced a brand new solo album as part of his new record deal with Warner Music, with a brand new single out in April.
"I think people are going to be really surprised," he says.
"The album feels like a new era for me - emotionally, lyrically, sonically. It feels fresh."
Lambert is working with legendary Swedish hit-makers Max Martin and Shelback who have crafter huge global hits for the likes of Pink, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera.
The 33-year-old American says he is increasingly influenced by what is happening on the UK and European music scene.
"Being on the road with a British rock band, and being in London a lot this year... I think that has affected my sound and where we are headed with it," Lambert told Billboard.
"Europe is very ahead of the curve... and I was definitely influenced by that."

"Being on stage with Queen and remembering the most important things about music and performance are the most timeless things.
"It transcends trend and popularity contests.
"It is more about truth, emotion, honesty and the connection with the audience, the music and the moment."
Despite his apparent larger-than-life persona, the colourful singer admits that working with the legendary band has also boosted his self-confidence.

"It's made me feel like I'm on the right path, and humbled at the same time.
"I am stepping into a position that used to be occupied by the greatest frontman of all time.
