I'm not sure what you mean by "cover" since apparently the wifi doesn't exist. They were clear about that. I read madam's twitter and for all we know, the first streamer could have reported the free wifi from the concourse and gotten madam's hopes up. I'm sure wifi in the actual arena isn't a huge priority for them because most people don't care about it when the show is actually happening. People generally want to connect before and after the show when they're in the concourse. and nica75, they did not use any causation in their argument. They merely stated that acoustics are venue's first priority - not wifi. Now I'm going to watch some videos from London and not let my day be ruined by lack of wifi or fuckboys who call themselves "critics" and happen to be employed at minor British publications. Who wants to join me?  sweetie cover means cover their asses I normally don't like to get into this but I don't really get the problem here other than we are disappointed. I doubt many venues plan for world wide streaming from the acts they present. They should and do provide wifi for their customers who would normally not care much if it is in the lounge or in the venue itself. Just so they can access it if necessary. We are an unusual case. IMHO it is not the job of the Leeds arena to make sure it is wired so that patrons can stream the shows. Thanks to the arenas that do have that capability but I think being angry with the venue makes no sense. Their priority is to put their resources into their arena (acoustics etc.) for their patrons. |

oh yeah, entitlement is not sexy....The venue doesn't have wifi....we're get video later. what is there to complain about?
I'm sorry Giltter your point? The first video didn't have wifi either, the only reason we got a stream is because our streamer ran back and got extra equipment. She used her phone signal which is probably very expensive because it may count as part of her data package. I think we should probably expect that many of the European arenas are not going to have Wifi and get used to waiting. As far as not having it inside the arena not all acts are as open to fans streaming as we've trained Adam and Queen to be and since we have only 1000 to a max of 2000 non-paying fans listening to the stream I can see where the arena has no reason to pander to one person in the 20,000 crowd. |
