I spoke to my BFF who lives in Brussels this afternoon. She asked if I knew that Adam sang with Queen on NYE. I told her yes and she was so happy for me that I did. She and her DH watched and DH, a very conservative intellectual type who is a professor of Chemistry at the Uni of Leuven, were blown away. DH even said, "now I understand why S loves this guy". Now they are trying to find tickets for the Brussels show. Can anyone help?

It seems in retrospect to mean he had found a label not that he was looking for a label. Tense baby tense. Or did I just miss this and everyone else did not? It could go either way. When I first read it, I interpreted it as he hoped to find a new label--in the future. But other people read it as him already having a label. |

I was driving home from my office tonight and my thoughts drifted to Adam (like they do a million times a day) and I was thinking about the new single coming out in April. I wonder if he has shot a video yet .... I read that and got light-headed for just a moment. You are both me. I have an hour long commute & my thoughts often stray to Adam. Today I was thinking about all the heavy hitting promotion DMG must have lined up for single & album release time...now that's exciting too!!!!! |

He is the king (and queen) of double meanings. Just look at his song lyrics  So it is quite possible that when he wrote that open letter, he already had WBR lined up... This is a good question for a Q&A, together with "who came up with the Fingertips In The Light Beam" moment in the QAL concerts... This article was written Friday July 12, 2013 and references that the news broke the prior Monday. So I guess he did have a label at time. Perhaps not with all the t's crossed and I's dotted but an agreement of intent. He also says "I am already deep into writing new material with some very talented colleagues for a brand new album". Could they have moved that fast? Ah yes hindsight 20/20 Buderschnookie. Mys*&@^#r always did say he would have had to have a contract/label to work with Max. |

Queen and Adam Lambert LIVE - one of the best nights of my life!
Yesterday I was lucky enough to witness a musical phenomenon, and probably a once in a lifetime opportunity - Queen live in concert. And it was incredible! Two hours of pure musical bliss. The sound was so clear, electrifying and hypnotising that the almost two and a half hours flew by as if mere two minutes.  When we arrived, the O2 Arena was already filling up to the brim. To our surprise, there was no supporting act and Queen went on stage at a little after 8pm.   At the sound of the first accords coming from Brian May's guitar, the nearly 20 000 people at the Arena erupted in one of the loudest cheers I've ever heard. When Adam Lambert's voice filled the huge hall, the crowd went ballistic.  And, man, can Adam sing! His voice is absolutely phenomenal! I knew he was good - I was a fan even before he started touring with Queen - but hearing him sing live was a whole other experience. I can't think of a better man to stand in for Freddie - Adam owns the stage with his voice, presence and charm, just like Freddie once did.    Adam's voice, along with his numerous costume changes, stole the show for me. Don't get me wrong - the music was flawless, and Roger Taylor's drums duel with his son was fantastic, but the moment Adam stepped off stage, you could feel it.   The show was quite emotional and I could see a few people tear up when the big screens projected Freddie's image, and he sang a few songs with the guys, as if he was actually there. Only he wasn't, and everyone knew it. Everyone was reminded of the genius, the showman Freddie Mercury was, and last night was all about celebrating that, even with a few tears in our eyes.    I'd like to say a huge thank you to the incredible musicians for the unforgettable evening they gave us, and wish them the best of luck with the rest of the tour. I'm sure they'll surpass everyone's expectations wherever they are in the world. Oh, and Adam? I liked you before but now you've got a fan for life, mate. |
