'One of the best concerts this writer has ever experienced at the O2'
The evening as a whole is a spectacular celebration, one of the best concerts this writer has ever experienced at the O2. Lambert, a man who decided to enter American Idol while out of his mind on mushrooms at Burning Man has not only the theatricality and the sheer vocal chops but also the assured confidence to front a band like Queen. Sure, at times the outfits make it feel like ‘Tom Of Finland Sings the Hits Of Top Gear’ - but there is so much genuine passion, affection and skill involved that it’s impossible to dislike. They duck 'Bohemian Rhapsody' a bit - choosing to leave sections to the video - but it all so moving that one can’t complain.
It is intended as the highest compliment that this is second only to seeing Mercury in his prime.

Some comments under review.. I caught this concert stateside. I thought it was so good I caught it three more times. I have seen many iconic bands but this was the first time I have seen the same concert four times in one month and spent close to a grand doing so and would do it again in a heartbeat. We drove 600 from Missouri to see the Dallas concert .My daughter and daughter in law squabbed all the way and it was still the best time I've ever had. If I ever get a chance to go again I'll be going alone.

Ian Woods @ianwoodssky Childishly excited to discover that Adam Lambert tweeted a link to my video of Queen fans leaving the concert. @adamlambert @queenwillrock Ian Woods Verified account @ianwoodssky Sky News Senior Correspondent. Lived in Belfast, Coventry, Nottingham, Washington, Sydney and London, so musings connected to there as well as news titbits. London skynews.com/ianwoods This is a lovely little bit of professionalism on Shoshanna's part because I believe this is the video she tweeted out and she choose one by a senior Sky news correspondent. Adam of course saw it from her and tweeted it as well, perhaps he knew who the originator was or perhaps he didn't but Shoshanna sure did. Nicely done.

I wanted to make sure that she saw this video and hoped that Adam would see it too, so tweeted her a link last night, and was surprised to see that she tweeted it out in the morning. I normally don't tweet her stuff, and of course she might have seen it from another source, but it did seem to coincide..

Nicely done on your part as well pi. It is fun to think that you had some hand in Mr. Woods feeling "childishly excited", which as a news correspondent is probably rare for him.

I really wanted Adam to see it, so am glad she tweeted it out. I was surprised she hadn't seen it before, but it might have been the weird hours I was keeping and everyone was probably sleeping except me. I didn't know who the videographer was and only looked him up when I saw his tweet that maya posted.. I was curious who the "childishly excited" person was, and was surprised that he was a professional news correspondent.. so refreshing! Also found out he saw Adam on AI when he lived in the US.
