Master Herald:Adam Lambert The Next Lead Singer For Queen?
The lead singer of Queen has been dead for some time and the band has been actively looking to replace what is missing with a voice that could match that of Freddie Mercury. In recent news, the band might have found someone they can play with for the time being. You might remember the name, this guy was on American Idol about 6 years ago now and even though he did not win, there was plenty of work for him in the coming years.
Apparently the 32-year old has been singing with the band Queen and according to sources, he can fill the shoes of Freddie Mercury. In sort of a weird twist, Adam Lambert actually did a few of Queen’s more popular songs while moving through the ranks of American Idol. The band still has its original members on the guitar and the drums. Queen with Adam Lambert has been on tour and the critics are raving. Before now, there were plenty of critics that thought there could be no Queen without Freddie Mercury.

I posted this on the concert thread but it will probably get lost there. What always amazes me is the silence of his breath intake....You hear his out breath, when he wants you to, but you rarely hear him take that breath...even when you are straining just to hear it. Phenomenal..... I've always been amazed by Adam's ability to take breaths that can't be heard. I find myself listening for them, especially before some of his glory notes! |
