I'm probably after the conversation has ended here - 1st time I've had a chance to read the thread in several hours  I don't think sales of the remix can really say that much about the core fanbase. First, it was sold via AO and there are many fans that can't or won't purchase there. THere is even a subset that doesn't do downloaded music! Of those of us who will buy at AO AND download our music, some just are not into remixes. I bought 1 copy to support the charity and as a crazy over-invested fan - I listened to it once. I don't much like remixes and if I'm going to listen to Aftermath I would much rather listen to an accoustic version. I'd be willing to bet there are core fans right here on this board who didn't buy it because they knew they wouldn't ever listen to it and they are a little more sane than I am! :D I'm going to have to confess that I did not buy the Aftermath remix. I purchased at least 3 of everything else, but I just never liked any of the remixes. |
